Interesting article about Russell Shepard's recruitment. This quote from his coach especially stood out:
"Said Thiebaud: "As I told Mack, 'You haven't won a conference championship, let alone a national championship, without a kid like that playing quarterback.' He agreed.""
Ouch. I guess the truth can hurt.

Mack cares about these kids.
I appreciate his honesty with RS. We have that type of athlete on the current roster (Chiles). IMO, GG is the better prospect. Our lineman in the future (Walters, Ashcraft, Kelley, Porter, among others) are probably going to average 6’5 across the board. RS is 6’1. GG is 6’4. At LSU, RS has a great chance to contribute early on…at the QB position.
