BCS Declares Germany Winner of World War II (US ranked 4th)
After determining the Big-12 championship game participants the BCS computers were put to work on other major contests and today the BCS declared Germany to be the winner of World War II.
"Germany put together an incredible number of victories beginning with the annexation of Austria and the Sudetenland and continuing on into conference play with defeats of Poland, France, Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Belgium and the Netherlands. Their only losses came against the US and Russia; however considering their entire body of work--including an incredibly tough Strength of Schedule--our computers deemed them worthy of the #1 ranking."
Questioned about the #4 ranking of the United States the BCS commissioner stated "The US only had two major victories--Japan and Germany. The computer models, unlike humans, aren't influenced by head-to-head contests--they consider each contest to be only a single, equally-weighted event."
German Chancellor Adolph Hitler said "Yes, we lost to the US; but we defeated #2 ranked France in only 6 weeks." Herr Hitler has been criticized for seeking dramatic victories to earn 'style points' to enhance Germany's rankings. Hitler protested "Our contest with Poland was in doubt until the final day and the conditions in Norway were incredibly challenging and demanded the application of additional forces."
The French ranking has also come under scrutiny. The BCS commented " France had a single loss against Germany and following a preseason #1 ranking they only fell to #2."
Japan was ranked #3 with victories including Manchuria, Borneo and the Philippines

No biggie...
I got the email forwarded to me this morning from one of my fellow Longhorn buddies. Due to the fact that I am very sarcastic as well as owning a BS in History, I decided to tweak it a little bit with hopes others can chime in with their add-ons. I posted it here as well as sent it to all 3 of the AM Sports radio stations in the Houston-area. 2 of the three already responded with positive comments as well as some laughter.

First, since you don’t know your history too well, or maybe slept thru it, I actually went to the trouble of finding something you might understand – Wikipedia:
“The Soviet invasion, which the Politburo called "the liberation campaign”, led to the incorporation of millions of Poles, western Ukrainians and western Belarusians into the Soviet Ukrainian and Byelorussian republics"
For those playing at home, I was talking about the fact that Russia was really not much better than the Germans when WWII started in terms of overpowering weak countries especially since THEY TOOK CITIZENS (not just jewish people) FROM ONE COUNTRY AND MOVED THEM TO ANOTHER. Gee….kinda sounds like recruiting if you played with the concept, drop any preconceived notions of jewish people, and have a sense of humor.
Next, since I am confident in my basic history knowledge with a little common sense to back that up, I don’t think I would ever choose to find a forum to make fun of the Holocaust. But since you read the Cliff’s notes version of the Soviet Union and WWII, please feel free to paint me into racist corner you feel like. Or maybe just stick to your insight on the Lakers and USC because clearly you have no clue what you are talking about outside of those two teams…
Finally, to answer a previous question, it is a Bachelor’s of Science not Arts….

I thought you were remarking to my “BCS declares” post, but if I would have taken my head out of *, I would see it was the one above concerning “running up the score”. I apologize to you and all the good people from California for my overreaction. I tried to retract, but to no avail. Thus, my idiocracy is on full display for everyone to see….
See what the damn BCS is doing to me???? I am fat cat in a room full of rocking chairs!
