Pat Forde: Colt has my vote for Heisman
http://proxy.espn.go.com/chat/chatESPN?event_id=23920
"...best QB I've seen this year is Colt McCoy, who so far has my Heisman vote.
...Colt McCoy does more for Texas than Bradford does for OU. He's Texas' leading rusher and has had a brilliant year throwing the ball as well."
and this was fun, too:
Larry (Glendale, CA): Worst play-call...Urban Meyer's play-call on 4th and 1 at the MISSISSIPPI 32 with 01:22 to go in the 4th Quarter this season or Pete Carroll's play-call on 4th and 2 at the TEXAS 45 with 02:13 to go in 4th Quarter of the 2006 Rose Bowl?
Pat Forde: (2:11 PM ET ) Larry: Well, Meyer is 60 minutes away from surviving his bad call. Carroll has to live with his the rest of his life. I'd go with Carroll's.
ROFL.

Carroll's was the right call
I would have done the same thing if I were Carroll. We hadn’t stopped White in short yardage all game and they hadn’t stopped Vince all game, at least in the second half. They had to try to keep Vince off the field.
Right call...?
if you’re referring to going for it then yes. Everybody and there brother saw that play coming. There were eight in the box, sorry but that was the wrong call. I think anything up the middle would’ve been stopped.

I agree with Texas Wahoo
Not only had we not stopped LW all game, but that style of coaching is what got Carroll to the Title Game in the first place (you know, dance with the one who brung ya).
Also, an offense as powerful and overwhelmingly successful as the 2005 Trojans had should be able to pick up one or two yards, especially if that’s all that stands between them and a Chrystal Ball.
And consider this: when we stopped them on third down, and we saw that they hadn’t sent in the punting unit, what were you thinking? I was thinking, “Shit!”
I was thinking...
we got this. We had nobody in prevent, it was a goal line formation. While USC was projecting White up the middle. Granted USC was out of timeouts.

Problem
Was not having Reggie on the field at same time. That was crazy!
Tulsa "foot in mouth" disease
Confession time: as a Horn fan, was the most miserable 10 years of my life living in Tulsa, OK and dealing with the derangement associated with Oklahoma College Football. If it wasn’t the media it was my wife’s extended family. Thank God that period is now in my rear view mirror.
Too bad a guy like Forde has to put up with this sh*t, too:
Mike (Tulsa, OK): Sooners dominate the Big XII All Conference First Team – doesn’t that kind of hint that they’re probably the best team in the conference?
Pat Forde: Mike: Nope. All-conference teams don’t tell me much.
