I wanted Bama to win...
There is 2:24 left on the clock during the 4th quarter and Alabama 20- Florida 31. It seems quite certain that Florida will advance to the MNC.
Dammit, now who are we supposed to root for now?
OU vs. Florida has me queezy.
I already once rooted for OU during the OU vs. TTech, so I don't think I can root for OU once more for my dignity's sake. As for Florida, these guys have had 2 back-to-back basketball NC's and 1 football NC AND pretty much another one in line. This all within a span of 4 years. So now, I must make a painful decision of choosing between a default winner and hearing more shit about the supremacy of the SEC.
Seriously, who do I root for in this scenario?
Does my hate for Stoops and OU supercede my disdain for the SEC or does my disdain for the SEC supercede my hate for Stoops and OU?
I don't know. I just don't know....
Who would you guys root for an why? help a brotha out.
It would be nice if this scenario was avoided entirely by a miracle in Kansas City tonight.
MIZZZZZOUUUUUUU, COMEEEEEE ONNNNNN. DO US A FAVOR FOR ONCE

Florida love
Florida DID invent Gatorade dude. That alone should be enough for, like, 10 MNCs and 10 tourny wins.
Completely off topic
but I’ve read or heard somewhere that FSU originally came up with the formula that was used to create the Gatorade. Apparently UF just patented it and is now banking. If that is true, then more reason for the seminoles to hate the gators. Anyway, I just don’t want the SEC giving us anymore crap

Florida winning a close game was a good thing for Texas...
dont’ believe me? just follow the links below to the BCS nerds:
Thign is, it was a two score win
Very close game? Yes it was. But again, it wasn’t a 1 point victory or anything, and you know how voters just love to look at the final scores (some can’t even do that, apparently).
I think we got screwed and we deserve some justice. However, I don’t know how comfortable I would feel getting our chance by similarly screwing another team.
The bad part about Florida playing OU is that when Florida scores a bajillion points on that OU defense, SEC fans will get very obnoxious and taunt the Big 12. I heard Fox is really pushing for Texas to play the SEC runner up (‘Bama now), and I hope that happens so we can take the Crimson Tide down and save the conference from even more embarrassment. Heck, after OU’s BCS flops and this tiebreaker mess that the whole nation scorned, we don’t need the Big 12 to take more hits.
Or do we, if it’ll make them change the rules…

Actually, we wanted a 10-point game
If the game had been a one-point game, it’s plausible that Bama would have stayed above us in the human polls. It’s now the best of both worlds: Bama almost has to fall behind us, but Florida did not win a blowout.
Yeah, I'd orignally was going to say
that I didn’t want to hear about the supremacy of SEC for another year but changed it to envy since it led to a quicker and less wordier transition. I guess sleep-deprivation is really worse than intoxication

I've got 5 to 1
in favor of the Big 12 changing the tiebreaker rule in 2009. 1-1 on changing how who plays the CCG is decided. Any takers?
In answer to this
“Seriously, who do I root for in this scenario?”
It’s obvious to me that I have to root for Florida (as much as I dislike it). Don’t know where you live, but I’m much more likely to see obnoxious sooners fans than Gator fans.
Also, don’t need ou going up further in MNCs (right now it’s 7-4, don’t need to be doubled).
