Great detail on the pic
You even have the correct order of eggs, with SC at the furthest back, Boise at middle, and WV in front

Damn right. Go Tigers!

--GA Horn--
By the way, Tebow is going to pick up the team tab for their dinner tonight
And fly the plane back to Gainesville.
Florida winning a close game was a good thing for Texas...
dont’ believe me?
just follow the links below to the BCS nerds:
It's good fodder, but...
Gators will be unanimous #1 tomorrow in the polls, and this debate shall be moot. (or “mute” as my mom says, in which case, you couldn’t hear me…")
"There are three kinds of people in this world: those who are good at math, and those who aren't..."

I am thinking..
how should we thank and celebrate with the Tigers if they put up the miracle tonight.
Come on Big Game Bob
cozy up to the nest and drop another one! beauty pic, pb.
$5 (not really)
To anybody who can explain why even with a win over Bama Florida will jump UT in the polls. Correct me if I’m wrong, but Florida’s SOS is lower than Texas’ and Florida has a worse loss (at home to unranked team). Florida has three wins right now over top 25 teams including one win over a top 10 team. Texas has the same, but all three top 25 wins are over opponents ranked higher than Florida’s. Florida’s toughest four game stretch was South Carolina, Citadel (WTF) Florida State and Alabama. Texas’ was…I’m sure you know. Against common opponent Arkansas, Florida had a margin of 31 whilst Texas had 42. Granted our Arkansas game was at home versus Florida’s at Arkansas, but is that worth an 11 point differenetial against a weak team? Anyway, call me crazy bu I’m pulling for OU tonight because I believe there is a rematch possibility.
Objectivity says we should stay ahead
But unfortunately subjectivity rules the BCS, and the voters WILL make sure Florida is ranked above us.
by goingforthecorner on Dec 6, 2008 6:51 PM CST up reply actions
They just beat the #1 team
and voters will put them to the top
not certain...
A big OU win tonight could put them in the #1 spot and decrease the space between Texas and Florida in the human polls. That being said, i’ll be rooting hard for Mizzou tonight.
Craig James
just echoed my point. what a surprise…
You're crazy
If OU loses, you’re in. If OU wins, you’re probably not in. (If OU wins huge, it’s possible that they would be a unanimous #1 and the computers might keep you ahead of Florida … but not likely.)
If you want to be in the title game, you are a Mizzou fan tonight.
I know it probably won't happen because i'm typing this, but i don't know why everbody is
counting out Mizzou. Maclin can show up big. I hope it’ll be a good game at least..
Don't forget
that off throwing hand injury to Bradford should cause +2 turnovers at the LOS during the game.
fumbles moreso than turnovers
he could pick them up and run them in for td’s as we saw last week
Good point SpartanDan
if OU wins, we should actually root for them to win in a huge blowout. We’d want them to get as many 1st place votes as possible from the Coaches and Harris guys, so Florida would be stuck with #2 votes at the highest.
by goingforthecorner on Dec 6, 2008 6:57 PM CST reply actions
They were all rooting for us.
Because advocates of a playoff system believe what happens on the field should count. BCS supporters don’t think that’s the way it should be.

may have been posted already, but MIzzou prolly still remembers last year and might want revenge.
any chance that Muchamp was on the phone with their DC?
If You See Kay, Oh You
Colt gave Chase some tips and free tickets to the MNC if Mizzou wins.
Their defense, however, watched SpongeBob all night.

Hindsight
Man, if Mack and company knew it was going to be this messy, they probably would have won that game in Lubbock.
i think i'm the only one that has liked mark may all these years
and perhaps i’m finally justified.
mark may?
did he say that on some other channel? it was john saunders who hosts the show with craig james/flutie who said that..
Good job John Saunders
said he thinks UT should still be over Florida.
Other guy says “but UF just beat #1”
then Saunders said “but so did Texas”
by goingforthecorner on Dec 6, 2008 7:00 PM CST reply actions
True, but at least Florida and Texas' wins over #1
were on a neutral field.

is anybody concerned
with all of this common sense coming from abc/espn? armageddon, perhaps?
is it just me
or is herbstreit’s jacket kinda sorta maybe burnt orangeish
Please, Missouri
Don’t get knocked out in the first quarter. OU’s defense dislikes playing all four quarters.
by TheElusiveShadow on Dec 6, 2008 7:04 PM CST reply actions
Ou's soft spot
is the middle of the field. Sadly, Chunk Daniel’s soft spot is the middle too.
not something you GUYS would understand I guess ;)
"When you get to the end zone, act like you've been there before."
So is Maclin even healthy for this game?
by goingforthecorner on Dec 6, 2008 7:05 PM CST reply actions
To be honest
Missouri has a 1% chance of winning. Time to catch lightning in a bottle, Mizzou.
by TheElusiveShadow on Dec 6, 2008 7:06 PM CST reply actions
The real key powering OU offense is TO margin.
OU is +20 overall, +11 in November.
UT is +3 for the season.
What could we have done with 17 more TOs? hmmmmmm
So, for Mizzou, the real lucky key is getting TOs instead of making them. It’s that simple.
So did Kansas Sate in 2003 or whenever it was.
by girlslikefootball2 on Dec 6, 2008 7:06 PM CST reply actions
why couldn't we...
have snuck in Muschamp for mizzou, just for a coupla days this week…?
"When you get to the end zone, act like you've been there before."
because we take the high road
like stoops…and switzer
The bad part
Is that Mizzou doesn’t seem like the team that likes to sustain long drives and eat the clock. We totally wore down OU’s defense and had a big advantage in TOP. I don’t think Mizzou is the type of team for that.
by TheElusiveShadow on Dec 6, 2008 7:09 PM CST reply actions
Chunk should throw up the middle
and Mizzou needs to have their defensive game of their NCAA lives
WTF, ABC?
Why reference that 2001 Big 12 title game and use a picture of the Major? Use a picture of Chris Simms. He was the guy who lost it. Major almost brought us back.

what happens if
OU wins in a very unconvincing fashion? any hope we pass em by?
No
We would need twice the number of voters to flip this week than the number who flipped in a week of 45-35 attention. Ain’t gonna happen.
So I'm a bit confused
I’d been assuming all week that, if OU were to win, a OU blowout would make the “Florida doesn’t catch us” scenario likelier to happen.
But I just read bcsguru, and he makes the case that we’d be better served with a narrow OU win.
My head hurts after all this talk this week.
Injury
anyone describe the injury…no TV where i am at
He was rocking back and forth

at this point would be Oklahoma beating Florida in the BCS championship. When you think about it, Texas stands a pretty good chance of ending the year at #2 and as the highest ranked team in the Big 12. That being said, let’s see a miracle tonight.

I know

Mizzou drives to 32
terrible play call (QB keeper) to try to convert 3rd and 2. Lose four yards. Kicker just barely misses 48 yd fg
summary...
OU comes out strong, moving the ball at will on the first drive. Somehow their shanked field goal goes through.
Mizzou gets a few first downs but not moving the ball quite like OU. Short on a 48 yard field goal by inches.
3-0.
You should check out ESPN.COM Gamecast for play-by-play
No kidding
Keep a #$ RB back there to make them think run and also help pick up the blitz. Going five wide on 3rd and 2? Is Chase Vince Young?

Run down of Mizzou’s chances:
Third and 2: Line up five wide and run a keeper.
Three and out with a shanked punt by OU: Five wide on first down, has to throw it away. Loss on second. Three and out.
After touchdown: Stupid penalty to give OU great field position.

We need OU to get all the #1 votes, so that Florida is 2 and Texas is 3 with the smallest possible vote differential.

Wait
for the standings to come out Sunday, then we’ll start bitching again. We’ve got a shot at #2 if logic prevails. “Logic clearly dictates the needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few, or the one.” Translation: Texas and common sense versus Florida or Tim Tebow.
There was talk
that FOX wanted the SEC loser vs Texas (if OU won) at the Sugar Bowl. I can’t see the Fiesta wanting that w/out cash payment
So..........
One of biggest arguments pointed to by UT was their beatdown of Missouri (at home in Austin), and the ‘dominating defense’ in that game.
Huh. Well, there goes that argument….
But no matter how much you want to forget it...
UT lost to Tech. A ‘worse loss’.
You're seriously resorting to a Mizzou halftime lead as opposed to a head-to-head defeat on a neutral field?
Not at all
Just pointing out that for the last two weeks one of the largest arguments I’ve heard to break the three-way tie is that UT beat Missouri, and NO ONE ELSE did (other than OSU). As if it was an incredible accomplishment.
I do believe what you’ve seen so far is a prime example that it was not such a great accomplishment.
I think the largest argument was 45-35. I'm certain ou didn't miss that.
You’re not going to convince us, we’re not going to convince you. Thus, your only purpose here is to troll. Drive through!
Unlike others....
OU never shirked the loss. OU tips their hat to UT for a good victory….
But, OU did follow through with the rest of the season, after UT opened the door by losing to Tech…. UT has no one to blame but themselves for a three-way tie……
And, you lost to Tech
AND, you didn’t win the south…
Actually, no
you didn’t, but we’ll let you think you did…. :)
Furthermore
There’s reason for OU to be ranked ahead of Texas even though I don’t agree with this outcome. There is however, no reason for Florida or anyone else to be ranked above Texas.
Wow
You really must have no life. What is going to be excuse when Florida ass-massacres you?

Big 12 North
Here’s the Big 12 title game history recently:
2008, North team down 31 at half
2007, North team loses by 21
2006, North team loses by 14
2005, North team loses by 67
2004, North team loses by 39
2003, North team wins by 28
2002, North team loses by 22
So, North team now falls to 1-6 in the past 7 years. If Mizzou keeps it even in 2nd half, margin of victory for Big 12 conference winner? 31.7 POINTS.
Get rid of the divisions...
…keep the scheduling the same (based on the now non-existent divisions) and have the top two teams period play in the championship game
Florida still needs to gain about 102 votes on Texas in the human polls...
if hawaii loses tonight, cause they ain’t passin Texas in the computer polls without that. now having said that…………florida probably gets those votes…………..OU running up the score could complicate that though

Contract extensions
Gundy will be getting roughly $2.2 million / year
Leach could get about $2.1 million / year
Stoops and Brown are grossly under paid by those standards.
And by any standards, Pinkel is grossly over paid.
How would a playoff work this year?
7 BCS conference one-loss teams (T tech, Tx, OU, Fl, Alabama, USC, and PSU)
2 undefeated teams (Utah and Boise St.)
2 other BCS conference champions (Va Tech and Cincinatti)
Who should be in the playoff?
It wouldnt work if there were automatic berths
No need to include the ACC and Big East
The Ralphie Report - University of Colorado Athletics
I agree, go with the 8 best teams
1. Oklahoma vs. 8. Penn State
2. Florida vs. 7 Texas Tech
3. Texas vs. 6. Utah
4. USC vs. 5. Alabama
Not that hard. 8 teams go. Boise State doesn’t get in. Tough shit, if they don’t like that they should schedule more than one decent OOC team (Oregon this year).

Yea,he wants his 60 points, ass hole!

Everyone does, they just don't admit it because then Stoops will throw a tantrum on the playground.
But I hear Mangino and Pinkel were making out in the bathroom earlier this week. And Leach planned to sabotage Mack Brown at the prom.
Oh High School.

Harris Poll out at 11am....
Florida up 44 votes in that poll. If Texas is within a 100 votes of Florida when that poll is released……….we still got a shot.
Oh and of course this assumes Hawaii loses to Cinci……..damn shouldn’t that game be starting any minute now??
Looking forward to that game
I love to watch some late night football who cares if it is a good game

Texas Sooner..
I find it interesting that you aren’t so quick to defend your “classy” program with the 1st team offense in the game at the 8:50 mark in the fourth quarter with a 27 point lead.

I think someone in the administration is making a comment!

What a little fucker Stoops. I wouldn't mind if an angry Mizzou fan clubbed him after the game.

I want him in the ICU. He is runing college football single handedly.

I guess hes making sure they are in the MNC and Heisman race
but im still surprised

That's bad karma!

Karma sometimes makes sense
and sometimes dickheads like Stoops make their own luck. I prefer Chaos Theory
Game hasn't been in question the whole 4th quarter.
And yet, 1st team defense STILL in the game halfway through 4th. Amazing.
on 2nd thought
maybe i hope for bradford to go all hellicopter on us again and knock his own player into the sidelines to blow out stoops knee
I'm not one to root for injuries..even to the Sooners
but they are almost begging for it to happen to a key contributor.

Muffburger needs to get a serious clue
Texas isn’t competing with OU anymore to get into the championship game. If they’re gonna get in, it’s gonna be cause Florida doesn’t go.
Why the hell not
I haven’t tortured myself enough the past couple of weeks

They couldn’t even beat Texas :)

"We want Florida" - Moronic OU fans.
This is going to be soooooo sweet when Florida knocks these idiots the fuck out.
What the fuck!
Going deep with the game in hand with 1st team offense with 4 min left…Absolute horseshit…Where’s all the talk about Stoops being a class act now?
ESPN has OU vs. Florida
on their pregame graphic.
According to Brad Edwards, because ESPN personnel get it right so often.
I am one of the last people to accuse teams of "running up the score"...
…but this is running up the score.
Going deep really?
I hope Bradford gets hurt.
This can’t look good for his heisman vote either

How sad
Cincy is 10-2, a major conference champ, on their way to the Orange Bowl. I’m a big college football fan. And I couldn’t name a single player on their team if my life depended on it.

If it should happen that Mack can go for 70 or 80 next year in Dallas
I now have absolutely no problem with that.
I really want Texas to do that. Mack is to classy to do it though.

Sometimes you just can't help it.
I’ve seen the Horns score in the 80s, but the second and third teams did a great deal of damage.
Anyone remember Stoops desperate fake kick
on his way to a 25-7 2nd half pasting by the Horns?
Frankly, I don't think we should talk about this particular game any more.
This is akin to UH’s 100-pt blow out.
If they score again
will they go for two just to break our record?

ok..does anybody really think that if Cincy beats UH
that we have any shot at getting to the title game over UF?
"We want Florida" chant
Maybe they were chanting this because they were worried about another UT beatdown should we make it to NCG.
either way ou gets beatdown
its all good for me. a fiesta osu ass kicking then ou getting destroyed will be fine. The sec is going to suck again next year too anyway..

I think you're gonna be surprised tomorrow
it’s gonna be damn close between TX and Fl for #2.
No it won't.
"There are three kinds of people in this world: those who are good at math, and those who aren't..."
--GA Horn--
OK if you say so
TX is gonna be up in the computers .94 to .89
After OU’s 62 points they will probably get the majority of the 1st place votes. If TX can garner a few #1 votes, and split a few #2 votes with Fl, they have a shot.
