Thank You Mr. Lupica
During this morning's "Sports Reporters" on ESPN, Mike Lupica was really championing Texas' cause and bemoaning the absurdity of the BCS. He even went so far as to say (quite accurately I might add) that no team has been screwed over more since the inception of the BCS system than Texas.
Normally I don't take much stock in a show that refuses to get sports opinions from anyone west of Philly - but I really appreciated someone taking an objective look at things and saying it's just not right.

they did get shafted...
however, that was just once. we were held out of a bcs game when ksu throttled ou in the big 12 championship game and yet ou was still allowed go play for the MNC and get totally dominated it that one as well. and now we’ve been screwed over once again by not being able to play for the MNC because of the stupid bcs. i’m hoping that florida destroys ou…i don’t care what all the big 12 haters would say after that. i just want to see it happen damn it.

No, that was the 65-13 throttling.
12-0 was next year with VY.

Priceless
I;m not sure if it was the same guy, but one of the reporters likes the BCS system. In the next segment Lupica said that he cant get into the Dallas vs Pittsburgh game because there’s a playoff. Priceless

He's wrong about us being the most screwed team ever
If the BCS were not in place in 2005, USC would have played OSU in the Rose Bowl, we would have gone to the Big XII’s tie-in bowl and played Notre Dame, and USC would have been #1 when it was all said and done.

do we see the criminality here?
Every year one team is royally screwed by a system which offers no closure more than 50% of the time.

im still not so sure this isn't worse than auburn..i think they're the exact same..
as i recall auburn wasn’t ranked inside the top 20 at the beginning of the season, so they had a ton of spots to move up. sometimes that doesnt happen..But we actually beat the teams ahead of us..which i think makes our case even worse..

i do think we got screwed, but we can always look back and say we should have beaten tech. auburn could have done nothing more
