fiesta bowl ticket question
well i searched the site to check if this has already been asked but new posts are popping up faster than i can keep track of, so i apologize in advance if this is a repeat post....
but i was wondering if anyone who has experience attending a bowl game could tell me the best way to go about getting tickets. I'm a UT student season ticket holder and I know that you can get on a list or something to reserve/request a ticket at $135. does anyone know the chance of actually getting a ticket this way? i don't want to request a ticket and then wait around and end up not getting one.
also, are these seats generally pretty decent or the worst nosebleed spots? i've been checking stubhub and the tickets at around this price are the worst seats; so just wondering if I got it through UT if it would be better or not.
and lastly, if I did get it through this UT student season ticket request thing, how do i make sure that I get a ticket next to my friends? or is it just tough luck and you sit by yourself? lol
any advice is appreciated. i know i could just call the box office and ask them (and i'll probably end up doing that too) but when i've had questions in the past they haven't been really helpful. seems like people on this site would be more knowledgeable than them.
thanks! HOOK 'EM

It seems like you'll get a ticket
My dad says the Longhorn Foundation told him they have lots of extra tickets and they even let him apply for an extra one, so I’m sure the students are similar. Students have a two seat cap, so they should be even more protected. Just buy it and you’ll get it, I’m pretty sure.

2008 FOOTBALL BOWL APPLICATION
The University of Texas will receive an allotment of tickets for the bowl game in which it participates. All requests are allocated according to UT Athletics priority policies. Some bowl games will provide tickets at multiple price levels; therefore patrons will be allocated tickets in the best available price level based on patron priority level. By requesting tickets you authorize the UT Athletics Department to charge your credit card for the tickets that you are allocated based on your priority. Priority will apply for each patron on the same number of tickets as they purchase on a season basis up to 4 tickets. An order charge of $20 will be added to each request.
Tickets must be requested by WEDNESDAY, DEC. 3 at 4 pm in order to receive priority. PLACING A REQUEST DOES NOT GUARANTEE THAT YOU WILL RECEIVE TICKETS. IT IS POSSIBLE THAT A LARGE NUMBER OF PATRONS WHO REQUEST TICKETS TO SOME BOWL GAMES WILL NOT RECEIVE THEM DUE TO THE EXPECTED HIGH DEMAND. It is anticipated that all tickets will be sold out for some bowl games.
Please request the quantity of tickets or parking passes that you wish to purchase to each bowl game below. The ‘Amount’ values will not show the price of the tickets because you are not being charged at this time. After entering the quantity of tickets or passes, click the Add to Cart button to proceed with your request.

I just got halfway through buying mine
so you can still buy them. Don’t worry about this. They still have tickets.

They may still have tickets
I think they probably will have plenty, the Fiesta Bowl isn’t the MNC. But you can’t tell yet just by placing an order with the Texas box office. They are only taking requests, I don’t think they have assigned the actual tickets….I ordered a week ago and they haven’t charged my credit card yet.
