Online viewing
For those who don't have ESPN360,
It appears that the game will be streamed on:
You may have to download the free player first, but it only takes a few seconds. Some games are IE-only, but we really won't know that until game time.

Watching the Nova/Gtown game
I really like listening to Jay Bilas. I really dont like the over the top announcers that try to make every play sound like it is the greatest play in NCAA history...He's calm and calls it like he sees it. I really like that.

Identity
It seems Texas has lost some of it's identity from the beginning of the year. With it went the swagger. DJ doesn't look like the kid that went toe to toe with TJ Ford over the summer. All too often resorting to fade aways and tossing up shots. Conner looks like a stiff breeze will make him wet his shorts. Can we rely on AJ's shooting to keep us in games. Most importantly, DEFENSE. The horns need to look it up. Try to sustain a defense for an entire game. Most of all, be bad asses, know you are The University of Texas!

OK, here's my theory
If I make a big deal out of a game, we always lose.
See:
Waited in line all morning to get wristband tickets for tOSU game: 24-7 We suck.
Spring for tickets to Aggie game last year at DKR, plus drive half way across Texas the night after Thanksgiving: 12-7 We suck.
Go to Dallas: 28-21 We suck.
Go to KSU game, meet Vince Young, get VY to autograph my lucky shirt that I left at home the weekend we lost to KSU last year and I blamed myself for it forever, wear said freshly-autographed shirt straight to the game to clinch certain victory and exact revenge: A billion to like 10 We suck a lot.
Get tickets to Aggie game and actually drive to that shithole town with my brother to get at least some closure on the season before clinching certain BCS berth and being total badasses: 38-30 We suck disaster.
So, I thought to myself: I can go wait in line all day and skip class and not do my homework to see this game, but that will ensure certain defeat. Thus, the only rational decision is to abstain from total glory and endure the game from home. This, certainly will spur the 'Horns to victory over the hated blue-birds.
Right?
Right...?

I used to feel like you
Then me and my friend Clay went to every football game the Horns played in 2005 plus that one we played in early January of 2006 and that pretty much cured it.
Now if I could just get rid of the clap, it'd be smooth sailing.

Great choice, Horn Brain, simply great.
We need some self-possessed mofo to stand up for our superstitions and so far as I can tell, you're it.
Congratulations. And when we win, I'll heap even more kudos your way for such prodigious personal insight and perseverance.
Plus a little check mark for the homework.

Oh, what does it mean, Swami?
Is this the kiss of KSU death or the golden touch of success and brilliant play? Does the best laid theory of Horn Brain come crashing down due to a propitious entry of our hero? Did Wells just run out of reason? Will he cheerlead the crowd into a full throated and undeniable victory?

15-12, under16
Fast pace, good offense early.
Crowd is rowdy. This is good stuff.

DAmn, no block out. 17-14. Wake up, D.

Atchley is like two Abrams!
In a trench coat!
by Horn Brain on Feb 11, 2008 8:25 PM CST 0 recs
As long as
Atchley can keep that up...some crappy officiating so far too...
by kirk1005 on Feb 11, 2008 8:25 PM CST 0 recs
Ridiculous.
But the D is swarming tonight. I like the effort.
Also liking Mason at the point.
by DisplacedTexan on Feb 11, 2008 8:26 PM CST 0 recs
Wow Connor showed up!
Too bad James is in foul trouble.
by goingforthecorner on Feb 11, 2008 8:26 PM CST 0 recs
Great up and under, Gary!
Texas looking great on offense.
Transition defense killing us.
by PB @ BON on Feb 11, 2008 8:27 PM CST 0 recs
Shot selection
the AJ airball led to the last transition layup. Take better shots.
I think this game is going too fast for our liking. Slow it down a bit.

by goingforthecorner on Feb 11, 2008 8:27 PM CST 0 recs
Like the adjustment so far
To let Mason run the point and run a little offense.
Atchley being incredibly awesome helps too.
Not to mention them missing layup after layup.
