Lets not get ahead of ourselves
Based on this it appears that Lake doesn't want to share what he supposedly has against Bush.
Not surprising as Lake puts himself at odds with a number of laws in regards to tape recorded phone conversations in the state of CA. There is also the matter of his tampering with the eligibility of an amateur athlete which is a big No No in the eyes of the NCAA and is againt the law in the state of CA. In 1995 USC sued an agent (they ultimately settled) for tampering with a number of USC's athletes so Lake is walking a very fine line here and it could blow up in his face.
Who knows how this will end up regardless many in our camp are very disappointed in Bush in that he would put his rep and that of his former school in harms way like this.

And Just Like that
He refused to be deposed. Not shocked at all.
Where it goes from here is now anybodies guess...

Bush paid off...
the guy who put the money up for his parents house where he can't talk to anyone about the house deal!! Their was a paper trail in the house thats why he paid him off. He thinks Lake has no paper trail but Bush still has to explain why he had a condo in school, his Impala (that Lake bought him and gave him another $10,000 to fix it up) Bush is guilty and get ready for UT to have another Heisman Winner at the 40 acres!!

Spell Check
For some reason definitely is one of the hardest words for me to spell. I usually type it in defanitly which the speck check has not idea on, so I have to keep on changing it until the spell check gets a hit.
Sometimes, if I remember to spell it definite and then add an ly, I get right, or in this case, I do definatly which this spell check give defiantly as the first option, and if I am not paying attention, I will bite on.

Paragon SC
You are truly delusional. Siting a shitty ESPN (which loves to suck on USC's cock) article that has incomplete details just discredits your theory. The actual story is that there was an armed gun-man at the hearings who was hired by Bush's Attorney, which is highly unusual.

Wow...
Between that and the Clemens carnival scheduled to start in an hour, it seems the biggest entertainment value this week is at government hearings.

"Citing"
Take another look at Paragon's comments - there's no "theory" therein. Bush took money - the NCAA isn't going to like that. Lake is a former petty criminal and has a pattern of making threats. When Bush took the money, Lake put himself on the wrong side of the law. And USC has sued agents for tampering with "student" athletes before.
None of these are facts in dispute - even Yahoo sports, which has as much of a hard-on for this story as ESPN does for SC, would demonstrate as much in their articles.
As for the armed man at the deposition, that just takes the whole tawdry mess from local amateur circus to Barnum and Bailey levels.
If I were Fresno State or Alabama, I'd be getting nervous right about now.

I would expect you to think I’m a homer
But if you read any of my postings on CC in regards to the matter you would see that I have been more than critical of Reggie’s conduct in this whole mess. Going back to my old site, the one in which PB recruited me to join SBN, I asked Reggie to come clean and he has yet to do so.
At the time of my original post there was no mention of an armed security guard in the story so how could I possibly be delusional? The link has been updated numerous times to reflect what may have happened. I think the move by Cornwell was silly, as there are other ways to handle it but that aside, Lake did leave deposition, a deposition where Lake has allegedly refused to provide requested documentation or is expected to take the fifth, as is his right.
Lake has some credibility issues and they are going to be brought up in this whole mess. That’s not to suggest that if someone is an ex-con, that their opinions/stories/documents are completely uncredible and worthless, but neither do they get a free pass. Motivation counts in the legal system, and the combination of an incentive to go after Bush combined with a prior record will at least raise the question of credibility and motive.
I’m rational in my remarks on this mess but the ONLY reason I care about the lawsuit is because what it will bring to light in regards to USC. I could care less about Bush at this point he made his bed so he can lie in it. I only care about USC.
As DC Trojan said, there is no theory, he walked out of the Deposition plain and simple to me the reasons are immaterial and for others to judge. Am I supposed to believe that with his background of being associated with gangs, domestic violence, drug dealing and prison time that he is now intimidated by an armed security guard in the room...some tough guy.
No, I’m not delusional but I’m not a fool either. Reggie’s family took the money and quite possibly put in jeopardy the hard work that his teammates put forth for their championship season in 2004 and their near championship season in 2005. I could care less if they strip titles or awards from Bush but I am going to be pissed if the other players accomplishments of those 2 great seasons are either diminished or marginalized because of his actions.
