Limas, the Titan
So I just spent the last 4 hours in a bar on Valentine's Day because I live with a couple and they get to "celebrate" while I..... well, spend 4 hours in a bar. I mean what is up with that? I pay my portion of the rent and I am stuck in a f'in bar because of some stupid holiday that means not.... Sorry, I have a point. Anyway, every single mock I have seen in the last 4 hours has Limas Sweed going to our Tennesee Titans. If this happens, how long before Bud Adams does another, well, Bud Adams and moves the team to Austin. Skip the middle man for God's sake.

If they move to Austin
They can have Greg Davis, I am sure he is more open minded than Tennessee's OC :P
Oh, and can one be a coach of both a college and professional football team at the same time? =)

And Bud can
build his stadium next to the new NHL facility in San Marcos.
This piece made me cackle. You can't read the fine print in the online version, but it lists a few additional sports headlines from the year 2028:
"Houston Reliever Roger Clemens Earns Save at 66"
"Baylor Wallops Rice in Mixed Martial Arts"
"UT I Beats UT II in Revived Southwest Conference"
I'm quite concerned that Horn Brain won't be pleased with the direction things are heading in the above link.

Hey
I am totally fine being a symbol for those who hate selling the game out to the highest bidder.

Random
Go to MB-TF and click on video for the Texas Tech game. Then fast forward to 03:06:45 or so and listen to Craig Way's partner (name escapes me) talking about Colt overthrowing Cosby during the replay. Is it just me or does he say "Colt just put a little too much air under that fuckin' ball." ?!?!?
I can't think of what he's trying to say and that's all I can hear. I know this isn't related, but it isn't really worth a diary, and I didn't know where else to put it. Sorry to BurnOut for semi-hijacking the thread.

wow im pretty sure he said that
i think he said that....thats just crazy
what else could he have said?

It sounds...
...like that's what he said. My only guess as to what he might have really said was "bucket ball." I've heard to announcers before refer to a deep ball as a bucket ball cause when QB's practice the touch they try and throw the ball into a bucket. That's the only other thing that makes sense to me.

Capture
Can someone with a clue how to do it capture that segment on video and/or audio?

Sounds like a solid Bucket to me

Yeah
Think you're right.
Thanks for capturing that...

Haha
Thanks, that was driving me nuts. I think this is the same thing we did with "Face Rape" against ISU. I'm pretty sure he was saying face rake.

And Muschamp said
"Boom Motherbucketball!"

Yeah
It's bucket. I just can't see Keith Moreland ever doing or saying something so inappropriate. Oh wait, except for August 6, 1984. The Cubs are in the middle of a huge series with the Mets. The pitchers of both teams had been trading bean balls all day. When Keith Moreland stepped to the plate, that all changed. Ed Lynch drilled Moreland smack in the left shoulder, and all hell broke loose. Moreland responded by beating the living hell out of Lynch and the rest of the team helped with kicking the crap out of Mookie, Hernandez, and all the other retarded Mets. (thanks to this site for the info).
For the record: I'm a HUGE friggin' Cubs fan, and I remember this particular game because 1984 is when my heart was first broken as that ground ball squibbed down the first base line beneath Leon Durham's glove - at least TWO YEARS before the Buckner error in the Sox v Mets 1986 WS.

limas
As a Titan fan and Longhorn fan I would love to see Limas and Jamaal go to the Titans. Limas would be a perfect fit and I think he and Vince have a little bit of chemistry. I think Jamaal would kick ass in the backfield with Vince, I think Lendell White is slow and fat. As for the Texas Tech game I think your right. I've watched that game on my dvr alot of times and never noticed, but yeah he did put a little too much air under that f@ckin' ball.....

Wonder if the Giants would trade
Aaron Ross for Lendale? Man by man, maybe the Titans could just rebuild the '05 Championship Horns. There are worse strategies for getting to the Super Bowl.

trade
Damn thats a good idea. Maybe trade the pats for David Thomas as well. Trade pacman for Michael Huff, trade the vikings for Cedric and Brian Robison, Hell maybe we could trade for Roy Williams just for fun too. Maybe we could get Billy Pittman undrafted, cause I think he only likes to play hard for Vince or some shit.

Limas
Sorry draftniks, I'd take Limas over Manningham and Malcolm Kelly any day of the week.

even though I have been overmatched
I am proud to be a part of this post :)

as a longhorns fan and titan fan
I wouldn't draft Sweed. He's got so much talent but lacks the heart or desire to max it out. If I were Tennessee, I'd do my damnedest to get DeSean Jackson, or draft another 1st-2nd round WR.
