Rookies v Sophmores
Daniel Gibson is tearing up the nets in New Orleans, he made 11 three pointers during this game, a record, and led all s1corers with 33 points.
Not only did Daniel have a good game, but all the Longhorns represented well. Gibsons 33, Durant put up 23, and Lamarcus had 16. Great showing for the Horns if you missed it...
And Daniel Gibson won the MVP of the game....

Boobie!
I'm not much for all star games, but I did watch this one to see the Horns. Gibson was on fire. Says a lot about Coach Barnes that we had three players in the game.
Will we have any rookies in the game next year?

re: Boobie
Can somebody tell me why this childhood nickname caught on when he was in the pros?...how embarrassing of a nickname...thank goodness they didn't call him that in college or our team would have been ridiculed out of the gym..lol

Can't say I agree...
His nickname happens to be one of my very favorite things. Ever.

DJ Augustin
maybe Damion James?
All three looked good. Although Gibson only shot three pointers (20 of them), he did guard Durant on a lot of the time. Gibson, played tight D on Durant when he was on him, which makes me think there was a little friendly rivalry going on.
A couple of times, Gibson had nice passes to LaMarcus and you could tell they enjoyed being able to play together.
Durant also had like 4 assists which led to dunks and probably as many turnovers, trying to pass for assists. Charles Barkley did not seem impressed with Durant, but he's fat (and a piss poor gambler, and never won a damn thing in his NBA career).
