Jamaal runs a 4.38
JC ran a 4.38 at the combine today, which was 4th among RBs. http://www.nfl.com/combine/top-perfo...
I think he was expected to do better, but was almost .1s better than Felix Jones, who he may be battling with for the 4th RB taken. I think Jones' time helps Jamaal more than JC's time helped him.
I couldn't find Limas' time because he was not in the top 10 for receivers. Hopefully they both improve their times at pro day.

Limas ran a 4.46
on his first run, 2nd was a 4.53 i believe. The 4.46 is very impressive for his size and I think that may have solidified his status in the first round

Sweed
from here Sweed ran a 4.46 and a 4.53. Pittman ran an abysmal 4.76.

Great times for Sweed.
What in the hell happened to Pittman?
Was he carrying a six-pack or what? No wonder they didn't use him much.

pretty good
If you ask me sub 4.4 is pretty good, and its not like the others ahead of him were much faster, we're talking hundredths of a second. I'm sure that extra hundredth of a second isn't gonna help him shed a tackle. However, for some reason I wasn't expecting to see McFadden number 1.

How athletic are these guys?

Jamaal tripped..
.. and still had the 4th fastest time :D
In the nfl.com rb combine 40yd dash video, at 0:40-0:41 sec you can see him veer to the left and then recenter. I am expecting at least a tenth of a second better time on his next run :].
Does anyone know if he's coming to UT pro day?

Didnt Jmaal win the 100m race in the Big 12?
I believe JC was a top track and field athlete before he decided to give it up and focus on football his last season. I'm not sure about this, but did he not win the 100m race in the Big 12 meet? Please correct me if I'm wrong.

Yeah, as a freshman. 10.23.
He was a four-time All-American in track at Texas. See ESPN story.
Allegedly JC's fastest 40 is 4.20. And remember, he bulked up last year for the season and without serious speed training probably lost a little edge.
I doubt if he can cut 4.25 anymore, but 4.30 is definitely possible.
And that's plenty good for the pros. They'll find a way to use it - and quickly, for you can lose that so easily.

Yamon Figurs
the WR/KR from K.State ran something in the 4.2s last year, which is the sole reason why the Ravens took him in the 3rd round. That and his highlight video from when he torched us.

So Jordy Nelson should be a first rounder, right?

Sweed - "Best Use of Combine to Improve Stock"
The talking head draft expert on ESPN (Maycock?)stated that Limas benefitted more than any player at the combine with his performance. He was bigger, stronger, and faster than Manningham and showed he was over the injury.
Evidently the size and speed combo pushed him into the late 1st round - maybe falling no further than the Cowboys at 22.
