Evening Open Thread: Things Darrell Scott Should Know
Your evening comment starter: Things Darrell Scott should know before making his final decision about whether to attend Colorado or Texas.
They don't even need to be true. In fact, I'd say the more outrageous the better. As any good psychologist will tell you, if you say anything enough times, people will believe it. Our entire political system is built on that idea.
So have at it. Tell Darrell Scott the real story about Colorado. And about Austin. You could start with the weather, but I'm hoping we go a bit further than that. First person to slander Dan Hawkins wins a t-shirt!1
Jessica Simpson endorses Darrell Scott to Texas.
1 Offer is fake. We strongly discourage slanderous commentary.2
2 Unless Scott chooses Colorado. Then all bets are off.

Note: Number 5 was stolen from somewhere, quite possibly here, I forget.

I'm pretty sure...
...that Texas, like USC, has plenty of young female students who are more attractive than Jessica Simpson. But that picture on the far left makes it hard for me to focus on higher cognitive functions, so it might do the job with young Mr Scott also.
Lucky little bastard.

Truth is
Uncles who attend college with their nephew tend to get way more tang than their brethren. You don't want to deal with that do you?

Remember who is the Coach's Son...
While Longhorn Co-eds can't be beat, remember that at Colorado, the coach's son is the quarterback so do you think he'll really feature the run.
I think not......
Have fun blocking for Cody

Good Point
Here the only member of the coach's family that ever touches the ball is Mack's stepson Chris Jessie.

Dear Darrell,
Texas is not for you. My girlfriend won't shut up about you already. Please, for the sake of my relationship, go to Colorado. I'm sure they've got one or two attractive girls up there, too, and during a few months in the summer they won't be wearing all those coats and it will be easier to pick them out from the mountain goats. If you come down here, you're going to have a whole lot of angry ex-boyfriends rooting against you at all the games. Of course, you probably won't hear it over all the screaming girls, but we both know you'll know what you've done. So go do the right thing, not all of our girlfriends...

Don't worry
My girlfriend is a CU grad and I think it would be best for our relationship if Scott goes to Texas. Mainly because I care a hell of a lot more than she does and I'm still mad at her over the 2001 CCG my freshman year....

OK, take my girlfriend
I just remembered what it feels like to lose the three most important games of the year, and have restructured my priorities.
Hopefully this helps sway you:

EDSBS
Texas has the 40% at the bottom in spades, and I will get you a puppy (but it'll have to be the free kind, or you'll get suspended, unless you just want me to take care of "your" puppy at my place, which my (ex-?)girlfriend would think was "So cute, OMG!" wink wink). That makes 50%. Add in our half of the 7% for flipping a coin, and that's 53.5% Texas.
Wait, what is it that those economists predicted? 51.7% or something? I think I figured out their "formula".
