2007 College Football Blog Awards: Official Nominees
The 2007 College Football Blog Awards move forward into the voting phase, with nominations already rolling out today at EDSBS, MGoBlog, and DawgSports. And now here.
Nominees were selected by reader-submitted ballots and blogger-authored posts. There were literally dozens of nominees in each category, a reflection, we think, of the depth and quality of college football blogging today.
A NOTE ON VOTING: As you can see from the nominations, some awards will be voted on by bloggers (instructions to come soon at EDSBS), while others are selected by committee. The People's Choice Award will be a public vote open to readers and bloggers alike.

Oh Damn!
I didn't even notice until you posted this and I hunted around. Didn't even know anyone still remembered that. Poor Billingsley is about to be exposed to everyone who clicks through. I love it.

"What Kind Of BONer Are You?"
I think the penis imagery alone was worth a nomination...oh well, maybe next year.
Congrats to Horn Brain

Yes...
... phallic overtones usually attract football bloggers in droves. Creepy but usually true.
Thanks, 54b. Loved that BONer post. Don't know how I got on with my boring page full of numbers when that didn't get a nom. I can only think that it was a long time ago and probably a little "insider".
Oh well, there's always next year. Good luck, and keep that thesaurus open to "penis".

Criminal
Look, I am not trying to flame, but these entire process should be renamed to the Orson Swindle awards. Then he is left has judge jury and executioner?
He is going to look unfavortably on blogs that campaign? When he is the guy that makes a post tooting his own horn (a pun, longhorn, get it?).
Incredible.

A few things
Did you make any nominations?
Orson didn't nominate anything - we pulled all these nominations from readers and other bloggers.
Also, the photoshops appear on EDSBS but they aren't his; they're the work of some of his readers.
Truth is, the only way to spot all the best stuff is to have everyone help us with nominations. Definitely point us out to your favorite stuff next year.
