Pryor to Ohio State

Wow, Im not sure how Tressel pulled that one off, but now Rich really needs a QB.

UM has no experience at QB now, and only one recruit who is the dual threat that Rich is so lauded for using.

I wonder

I have to wonder if Michigan's rough season last year had anything to do with his decision.  You'd have to think it factored in somehow.  Between the two schools, I think he made the right choice.  I would have done the same.

Certainly tOSU has been better of recent

But a new coach with the reputation of Rich for the spread, with no threat to your job at QB, and at Michigan...

I dunno, I guess I just personally hold the Maize and Blue in higher regard as a school.  If I lived in the North I could have seen myself going to UM, and it seemed like the perfect situation for a recruit, helping to return one of the most storied programs to dominance.

/shrug, who knows if Pryor will pan out anyway.  I guess Tressel did do well enough with Troy Smith.

judging based soley off his comments

that i've read
the guy doesn't like a challenge
again ... i don't know the guy
haven't read too deep
but i remember when he was talking about texas
and how he didn't want to have to live up to vince young's status
that was one amongst other things
i figure the guy goes to ohio state ... doesn't live up to the hype
refocuses on basketball and tries to make the nba
which isn't a bad idea
but maybe i'm just rambling

Aren't you always kind of rambling?

Nice to have the Poet posting regularly again.  I don't recall hearing much from you for some time.

Go boom, mothers. Please, just go boom.

I think

Pryor just made himself Michigan's number one fan hatred target. Maybe he'll help Ohio State get out of their Buffalo Bills-like Championship game streak.

Pryor

Was this even a shocker? I thought Ohio St. was number one with a bullet all this time, and the only reason he decided to wait longer was that his dad was pushing him to consider Penn State.

Also, did anyone see the news that Lynn Katoa, former UT recruit, got himself into some Fulmer Cup trouble? Too lazy to find the link, but it's at EDSBS somewhere.

My adopted kid is pure genius at the Black-Scholes Option Pricing Model.

OSU was the frontrunner

When DickRod went to UM he considered them, but supposedly the bucks were always in front.  I saw him play in the PA state championship bball game last week here at Penn State.  There is a rumor floating around that he decided to delay his announcement to ensure a non-hostile crowd here for the state finals.

But besides that, I say OSU can have him.  This kid is a troublemaker.  He's gotten into it with fans at bball games twice this season, and had a confrontation with someone at a themepark.  He's a pretentious, cocky kid that I don't think i'd want on my team.

Bad attitude and two-sporter

I'm very glad he didn't come down here then.  Also, him being a two-sport athlete would worry me a little.  I used to play multiple sports in high school and college and I ended up with multiple injuries because of it.  In the end, I missed out on a few seasons in sports I wanted to play because of it.

That would be rough to lose your QB for most of the season because he wanted to play basketball.  Bo Jackson, one of my favorites of all time, managed to do it but obviously he was a freak and durable.  It eventually caught up with him.

I'd much rather see my star player in college focusing on football only and working to get better in the off-season, instead of playing another sport.

He also dissed Happy Valley

Well, sorta kinda... he said "I don't like that place", apparently not wanting to be a city mouse in the country. I'm sure PSU fans will greet him warmly next year.
