Baseball in Lubbock
It's funny. Over the last few months, I have had many tech fans talking of how Tech is definitely going to make a run at a College WS championship. Today, many of those people, are talking of how bad their baseball team is. I can only assume that yesterdays 22-6 loss to the Longhorns has changed their minds. It's just amazing to me how many "fair weather" fans there are here in Lubbock.
I will be attending Saturday's game here in Lubbock, and I hope to see another big win. This will be my first opportunity...ever...to see Texas Baseball in action. The other 3 times I bought tickets, it has been rained out. And wouldn't you know it, there is a good chance for thunderstorms tomorrow. I'm keeping my fingers crossed,

Don't know about yesterday
But being from the area, and having played ball in that weather more times than I can remember, I imagine it played a role. Mostly, it affects the pitching more than anything, and with close to 30 runs being scored, I'd venture that it played a significant role. Tech should be used to it though.

Is there
something wrong(physically) with Kyle Russell? I mean, I know he's been more than a little off at the plate so far, but I always thought the more I stuggled, the more reps I need against live pitching. Anyone???
Yeah
Sounds like he's pressing too hard, instead of letting the game come to him.
Rumor
Allegedly he has a strained muscle in his neck that he got last week, so that's why he's not playing this weekend. I'd say he's pressing too but he's drawing an awful lot of walks for somebody that's trying too hard.
that's what the radio guys are saying
He has a strained muscle and that's officially why he's been out the last couple of games.
