Texas games under the lights

I may just be me being petty, but I've noticed that Texas football gets very few night games these past few years.

Star-divide

I dont want to pull a media bias card, but the SEC seems to definitely dominate the primetime hours in college football.  I dont know how long its been since I've been to a Texas game under the lights.
Not a major complaint, but the atmosphere at evening games always has a higher intensity than day games.

You're probably right

but, when was the last time we played that was a major game under the lights? Ohio St.?  (My memory fades)

Don't forget our major match up each year is in Dallas during the day. That's one major game and if we do play at night in conference, it's usually the Saturday night TBS game with OSU.

I would also agree to your point that that the SEC receives more night games due to the SEC having a better TV contract.

On my TV (and I've lived in 2 major markets in the past 5 years, Houston and Dallas) ABC never airs the Big 12 days game in HD. Conversely, the SEC day game on CBS is always in HD and the night game is sure as hell in HD with Verne Lundquist to boot.

Oh yea, and night games have a better atmosphere due to drinkin' mostly.

just last season

We've had quite a few night games in the seasons before 07.  Whenever we were on TBS (OkSt, Tech, Baylor) those would be night games.  Last season I think was an anomaly, but we'll see about this season.  I think ABC might pick up the Mizzou, Tech, and KU games for evening broadcasts, and A&M will definitely be under the lights.

I don't want the RRS to be at night.  As it is, there's plenty of time to spend at the fair, get sloppy, go to the game, then go out afterwards.  I don't want to have walk around to find my car in that 'hood at 11pm.

The A&M game will be under the lights

When playing at night, it just gives everyone that much more time to drink before the game, thus a much more rowdy crowd. We should have all night games just to see the difference in crowd noise.

Ohio State

2 seasons ago was a primetime game.

Seemed like ABC showed a lot more night games this past year so, perhaps we'll be in line for more if that continues.

night games

The SEC won the national championship the past two years, therefore they get the better TV spots. SEC usually has the better games too (not the better teams). I don't really mind SEC games too much, but I hate watching USC crush overrated PAC10 teams (CAL,Oregon,Arizona State)on prime time TV.

Is the Texas v.s. Arkansas game a night game this year?
