mason walters wearing burnt orange
What a weekend for the Longhorns. The Texas basketball team is shooting for the Final Four, and on Saturday night the football team picked up a commitment from yet another blue-chip prospect. Wolfforth (TX) Frenship Mason Walters, regarded as the top offensive line prospect in the state of Texas, officially chose Texas on Saturday night, becoming the Longhorns' fifth commitment from the Rivals100.---Rivals.com
wow did not see this coming with all of the prospects that attended the orange and white game i thought he would be the least possible one to commit.... could texas possible have the overall best recruiting class in 2009?
With 17 in the bag they already lead the nation with a long shot with USC and Ohio State tied for second with 10 a piece... i really wish i could fast foward about 2 or 3 years and then see whats up

UT recruiting
Texas is almost done with recuiting. USC and other teams still have a lot of recruiting left to do. I just hope UT gets Mcfarland and maybe that DE Kennard (I think). Dextar Pratt would be a good pick up also.

After...
....a number of years of under-recruiting the O-Line, both in quality and quantity, we seem to have things turned around. We're starting to get our numbers up, which will allow us to build quality depth. We're doing a much better job of keeping the high quality O-Line players at Texas. No more Reggie Youngbloods, Ciron Blacks, Jarvis Jones, Cory Brandon or Jason Fox. That level of talent needs to be playing for McWhorter. Hopefully, we won't slip back into the rut of previous seasons.
