OK, We Have to Address the Oklahoma/Texas Sonics
So who would we prefer to run with KD (and to some extent an ever improving Jeff Green) for the next ten to twelve years? Now many of you will say DJ Augustine. You are wrong. He's to busy cuttin down nets this time next year. I say Micheal Beasley, but they seem too much like the same player. Of course their past together is really enticing. Of course Derrick Rose will also be a factor. Now I haven't figured out how to post a poll yet and i haven't tried either(I'm not aggie, just lazy). So those of you out there light years ahead of my non-existent basketball knowledge enlighten me.

You're right
Beasley is a monster, but he and Durant are too much the same. Seattle really needs a big PG a la deron williams type. Rose would probably be fantastic for that team - my opinion anyway, i'm no guru...

you say that like it's a bad thing
2 Kevin Durants on the same squad, who are you going to double-team??

needs vs. BPA
If OJ Mayo hadnt hurt his stock over the course of this year, he might have been a decent candidate, as he can play both guard positions and would allow KD to slide down low with Green and Wilcox. They still might do that, but not likely, since it'll just be too hard to pass on Beasley or Rose, sure picks compared to a more volatile Mayo.
my two cents at least.

also
The Sonics have a slew of 1st round picks in the next couple of years, a ridiculous amount in fact. So, if they have to take Rose or Beasley this year, fine, they can address 'needs' later in this draft or in 2009s draft. Passing on Beasley or Rose would be dumb considering their other subsequent opportunities to address more pressing needs.

Riley loves Rose
Judging by the way Pat Riley was willing to miss several of his own team's games to go watch Derrick Rose play, I'm gonna go out on a limb and say that the Heat will be taking him over Beasley, despite what all the "experts" are saying.
Of course, this depends on how the ping pong balls fall, which is rarely exactly according to probability. For all we know, Golden State could end up with the #1 pick (if they indeed miss out on the playoffs), which would be disgusting.

oh yea
Forgot that NBA has a lottery, not just based on record. Good point. We'll see where Seattle (I refuse to call them OKC just yet) picks before making any judgments on who they might select.

Picks
Rose is far and away #1 on my list, but Mayo's length and passing ability wouldn't be too bad to have either. After the regional performance, I'm also a fan of Brook Lopez, although it seems that Seattle (soon OK City) is where highly drafted big men go to die.
By the way, NBA Draft.net currently has Augustin going 23 to...Seattle.

I personally
cannot wait for Seattle move down here to OKC.... I guess that might make up for having to live in this hell hole of a state. It will be nice to have a 45 minute drive to watch KD..

You have to buy a KD Longhorn Jersey
and wear it to every game you go to.

Been there...
done that... I wear my Longhorn gear everytime I go to OKC... Ran into poor little Sam Bradford in Walmart one day... I just smiled and threw him the horns.. :) I do, however, stay out of sports bars, no telling what might get ripped off..

sonics owner
bad news for you: the old Sonics owner is trying to buy the Sonics back because Seattle hates him and he wants them to like him again.
