Tyreke Evans Update

Evans will announce his college decision tomorrow at 2pm on ESPNU, but it looks like he isn't going to put on our Texas hat.

Now... let's just hope that D.J. decides to come back.

Memphis

I will be shocked if Evans doesn't land in Memphis.

The one to watch for Longhorn fans is Devin Ebanks. He will visit West Virginia, Texas, and then a couple of others. I would love to see him annouce right after his weekend in Austin and cancel his remaining trips. I believe his Texas visit is the April 26th weekend or the one after.

Where's he going?
Rivals.com is reporting he signed with Memphis, but on the radio they're saying he signed with Villanova.  It looks like Rivals made an assumption and posted some stuff that turned out to not be true.

Anyone have some clarification?

Memphis

Espn.com says Evans to Memphis.  No surprise there.  He will have a much better chance of getting playing time early there and the dribble drive motion offense is probably a better fit for someone who wants to make as many one-on-one plays as he does (at least judging from his MVP performance in the McDonald's All-American game, in which he was reluctant to ever pass the ball).  I think it says a lot about the ascendence of the Texas basketball program that a player from Pennsylvania with no ties to the program would consider coming here.

Please refer to the Rose Bowl as Vince Young Field at the Rose Bowl -- he owns that place
