J'Covan Brown signs with Longhorns
J'Covan Brown signed his LOI today to play for Rick Barnes.
J’Covan Brown, the guard from Port Arthur Memorial who committed last fall to play for Texas coach Rick Barnes, finally signed Monday, according to his father, Johnny Ray.
Johnny Ray Brown said the national letter of intent binding J’Covan to Texas was sent to Austin by Federal Express, not by fax. Johnny Ray Brown said he and J’Covan provided the required signatures on the letter.

academics?
Hopefully he’s got his school work in order. I don’t want him to be ineligible (or unable to enroll), but the rumors will be there until he’s here and in good standing.

Jeff Taylor Signs with Vandy
http://www.nashvillecitypaper.com/news.php?viewStory=59686
Evans to Memphis and now Taylor to Vandy. It doesn’t look likely that Wesely Witherspoon will chose Texas. So, if Barnes is going to land another player, it will be Devin Ebanks, which would be fantastic.
If DJ elects to stay, then Texas will return all five starters, lose only Lewis and Mooney, while adding Matt Hill, Dogus Balbay, and J’Covan Brown. Can you say pre-season #1?

#1
Cart..horse..something. But I like the optimism.
By the way, doesn’t Jeff Taylor look a whole heck of a lot like Joakim Noah in that Nashville article?
