BCS Officials Turn Down Playoffs
The conference commissioners today decided to keep the current BCS postseason format and will soon work on negotiating television contracts through 2014. Only two commissioners, ACC and SEC, had any support for a playoff proposal.
The commissioners said that the BCS is doing better than ever before, which I feel that most fans would agree with, but that still isn't saying much.

In other news, ESPN put up a poll on this subject matter up on their front page today, and as of right now, the standings currently look like this:
What a fucking joke. Good to know the higher ups are in touch with the sport and don't just care about money or anything of the sort.
On a side note, DKR is nearing structural completion:

Is it going to matter though?
Adding more seats won’t mean anything if the people who fill the seats are fair-weather UT fans, frat boys taking their girl out, old alums that don’t cheer, etc.
If we go through rough times next year, all this means is we’ll hear more booing.

"Old Alums that Don't Cheer"
Please keep in mind that many of those “old alums who dont’ cheer” (especially when the team is playing the likes of Ark State and Central Fla and struggling) in many cases have donated ten’s of thousands of dollars to the University through the years that has enabled UT to have the sort of athletic program and facilities second to none.

It is the “old alums who don’t cheer and tells others to sit down” that I have issues with. My tickets started off on the West side until the 1996 game against Notre Dame. After having it out with an old man who didn’t seem to care that we were playing Notre Dame, it was a close game, and insisted that I not stand at all I had my seats moved to the East side.

I'll gladly take
rowdy fans over those who spoil the players with unnecessary benefits like “second to none facilities”.
