Texas now preseason #8...
not that it means anything, but I feel its a bit high despite Muschamp.
heres the post:

I will be incredibly surprised if we make it past TTech this year. I know tech is always the "we'll see, we'll see" and then diving into the inevitable disappointment, but this is the year we dont have Leach's number.
then again, if we can find a tailback and a decent flanker....

It seems to be an "overall team strength" list
Not a schedule- or prediction-based one, if that’s what you’re getting at with the Tech reference. Georgia, for instance, probably deserves one of the top two spots on merit, but could very easily wind up with two or three losses.
I don’t know that we deserve #8, but I feel like we have a lot of upside. If the offensive line continues to get better and some receivers step up, we could be very dangerous.

Texas Tech?!
Give me a break. Texas Tech is a dissappointment waiting to happen. Texas Tech will lose atleast 3 games this year (just like every year). A good team must play defense. A good team can’t just depend on the offense to win games, because they will have atleast a couple “slow” games. I don’t want to hear how Tech’s defense is going to improve all of a sudden this year because they got a couple of players (they need 11).
If Texas can beat Oklahoma and Missouri, they will have a great year. I think they can win both if they play well.

Texas Tech...
If you live in Lubbock….Tech is being hyped as the next National Champs, which is nothing new, they claim this every year. They always have this wait till next year attitude.
I am however a little worried about Texas playing Lubbock this year. Weird things happen to Texas when they play here, in any sport. I also see Tech losing at least 3 games. Scoring alot is one thing, but if you can’t stop the others from scoring it does you no good. There are a lot of fans that are starting to grow weary of Leach around here. Many are starting to perceive him as an arrogant ass who only cares about padding numbers and making himself look good. Personallly, I’d rather him stay and watch their disappointment year in and year out.
