Football Trivia Answers
My flight plans got bumped back to Monday, so this is it from me before I disappear tomorrow for travel but the answers to the trivia from last week are:
1. USC
2. Okie State (2-20 against the 'Horns)
3. Schnellenberger, Price, Petrino, Bailiff
4(a) 16 letters
4(b) Georgia, safety
5. 2003, LSU national champs, with Playstation numbers
6. D - 88
7. Cedric Benson (5.0 ypc)
8. Tim Crowder
9. All eight. The chapter in the book on the '83 defense is so much fun to read. Guaranteed to fire you up.
10. E - 42. Even after cuts, the number will be pretty high. Fun to see quite a few former 'Horns doing well.

8. Who is the only Texas player to record 10 or more sacks in a single season during the Mack Brown era?
Answer: Aaron Humphrey had 10 sacks in the 1998 season. – verified here:http://www.mackbrown-texasfootball.com/000_stats/98/teamcume.htm
In addition, Aaron Humphrey had 10 sacks in the 1999 season. – verified here: http://www.mackbrown-texasfootball.com/000_stats/99/teamcume.htm
I’m pretty sure Crowder didn’t have consecutive seasons with 10 or more sacks.

Whoops - wrongly worded question
I threw this together at lightning speed. I meant to ask: “Which Mack Brown recruit...” Not player. The factoid came from a chapter on Mack Brown’s all-time best recruits. Just sloppy trivia writing on my part.
