Arkansas game next season
Dick's level of comfort will be key, because if Petrino is to work the same magic as he did at Louisville -- where the Cardinals improved from 97th in total offense to fifth in his first season -- it will be squarely on Dick's shoulders.
Petrino may be a total swine (oh snap! I didn’t just type that) – but he is one heck of a coach. Even Joey Harrington had moments in Atlanta, while actually resembling a QB.
This Arkansas game will be an incredible test for a new Texas D Coordinator and a bunch of newbies in the secondary.
Casey Dick is slightly underrated as a QB. For all the talk of Matt Stafford and Tim Tebow, if I had to guess which SEC QB will post the best numbers next season my money would be on Casey Dick.
Should be quite a game and if Texas wins, a boost to their BCS potential. Arkansas will probably be in the SEC west mix.

Not so fast, my friend...
Louisville played in the Big East (or maybe even C-USA when Petrino arrived?), which isn’t exactly a bastion of defensive solidarity. Also, there are two sides to every ball game. How does the Arky D look? I’m pretty sure Louisville didn’t jump up to respectability defensively when Petrino showed up. I have a feeling that teams are going to do most of their scoring on us in the first half, because I don’t even want to imagine what coach BOOM would say to a defense that had just given up 3 TD’s. As long as our offense over 4 quarters is better than theirs over 2, I don’t give them a Dick’s chance in Amazonia.
Exaggeration? Yes. I’ll be looking forward to this game. Hopefully Arkansas surprises some people and gives us a run for our money (because they’re good, not because we’re lazy again). Playing at least one good game before conference play has got to help you out.

arkansas game
I think the game will be close in the first half (rivaly), then UT should start to pull away. Arkansas will not be as good as last year, and they weren’t that good last year!

Scary Team
I think Arkansas will be a good test. I don’t know, I’ve watched them a few times the past 2 years and they can be formidable. I hope you’re right L84

hmmm.....
They also had a few guys named Hillis, McFadden and Jones the last few years. Can’t say I fear their running game so much coming into this season.

At best
......Arkansas is a 6-6 team. In our expanded stadium, Muschamp should dominate.
