We're Alive

Wow. Oklahoma just doubled in two runs in the bottom of the 9th to beat Missouri 4-3, which means Texas is still alive to play for the Big 12 championship.

If the 'Horns beat OU on Saturday morning and A&M beats Mizzou, Texas will advance from Pool 1 to the Big 12 finals. Would be nice if we weren't also counting on help from another team, but hey, 5 minutes ago the finals looked out of reach.

Hook 'em

Doesn't look good...

... A&M isn’t exactly on a rampage. Still, I’ll have the radio blasting Craig Way tomorrow just in case. Wouldn’t it be nice for Augie to get a chance to avenge that sweep at the Disch against the Cowboys? They are the likely representative from the other pool, right? Let’s make OU suck just a little more.

Saturday

We’re off tomorrow while Pool 2 takes the field. We play at 9 am, followed by A&M-Mizzou.

HB, you were right. For us on Eastern Time, that is.

You made a post saying ‘tomorrow’ when it was actually Friday (May 23, 2008 12:31 AM EDT). You weren’t wrong – just being sensitive of those who no longer live in Texas time!

It's a Horns' world. Even Aggies play hoops with a burnt orange ball.
Is it football season YET?

what does pool 2 look like?

OSU coming out of it?
Did they already play nebraska?

All upsets in pool 2

Both of the lower seeded teams in pool 2 won on Wednesday (Baylor over Nebraska, Kansas State over OSU). Nebraska plays Kansas State and OSU plays Baylor today, starting at 4:00 PM.

So OSU is very much in the same position as Texas was : they need to beat Baylor and Nebraska and hope that Baylor and Nebraska beat Kansas State.
