Well, we got one run in the first...
a little disappointing that we didn’t get more with 2 on and no outs, but we’re on the board first.
got ouf of the jam first inning
Boening seems a bit shaky…but look at Russell’s arm!!! that boy has a freaking rocket!!
my first born shall be named vy
seems like he has pretty good movement on his 4-seamer
hes keep jamming our left handed hitters
my first born shall be named vy
Updates welcome
We’re both kind of busy all day, so all updates are both welcome and needed. Hook ‘em!
They are jumping on his pitches...boening might want to change his approach
but seems like he has a control issue tho…his pitches are leaning towards middle
my first born shall be named vy
Tripple Jordan Banks
yes Baby, 3-1 with runner on 3rd
Get your ass going! You ain't hurt!
Single Russle
4-1
Get your ass going! You ain't hurt!
Dang
Other thread was rollin’! We’re going to hit 100 comments again today over here anyway, if everyone gets the memo.
--Horn Brain--
Don't say that!
6-1 against OU, remember? Our pitching can blow any lead at any time. We don’t have the luxury of burning our bullpen up this time, either. Let’s hope Boening can give us 6+ today.
--Horn Brain--
I migrated too
Someone needs to ring a bell when a new thread starts! :-)
Runners at the corners with one out is the latest on the Weebles. Did Moldenhaur drive Russell in?

KSU pictcher
Is he a regular starter?
Get your ass going! You ain't hurt!
the relief guy? dont think so i think he has a record of 1-6 and 6.75 era
probbly brought in to face UT’s left-handed middle of the order
my first born shall be named vy
This is going to be a high scoring game
We got lucky to just give 1 run in the last two innings, we will give runs. Keep the bats rolling.
Get your ass going! You ain't hurt!
Against OU
they said the run rule applies “until the championship game”. Did they mean Big XII championship or NCAA championship? or both?
yea the way our bullpen has been utilized past couple of days...we might need lotta runs to help pitching
my first born shall be named vy
Yeah but I'm greedy, I wanted 3 more .nt whills

Is there a baseball-reference.com for college?
I’d love to know how many rallies Hernandez has killed this season.
But he was the hero last night

Ok, I'm swinging your way on Hernandez now
That’s the second time he’s left 2+ runners stranded on base!

Boening has good stuff.
Would love to see him start to put it together before the NCAAs.
--Horn Brain--
with his velocity he should be able to jam hitters inside..especially against the quality of kstate hitters
my first born shall be named vy
Was doing that a little earlier.
Nice inning, there. Let’s get back to scoring stupid amounts of runs.
--Horn Brain--
Love it
What a turnaround for this team! Hope our pitching can get through the rest of this one…
--PB--
Like... all kinds of ways...
Got one in the first, then had a huge rally in the top of the third to plate 4. Went like Double, Double, Triple, Single, Weeping. Dominant. Boening has improved each inning.
--Horn Brain--
OK this inning is long...
Runners on 1st and 2nd, one out, Danks at the plate. 0-2 count.
--Horn Brain--
Singles through the right side to plate Rupp
Beat the throw, and it was cruddy anyway.
--Horn Brain--
Danks three hits, two RBI's
His draft stock just keeps rocketing up.
Speaking of which, given the plunge Russell’s stock has taken this season, any chance he comes back for his Senior year?

Hits like him, too.
2 run double puts the ‘Horns up big. This outfield is way too big for KSU’s outfielders.
--Horn Brain--
He hits, fields his position well, and can pitch
He does long division in his head.
Brandon Belt: Nothing he can’t do.
Horn Brain
Your joking run rule claim from earlier is looking less joke-ish. Too bad it doesn’t apply.
should hold off on the jokes...theres a bit of a ball game to be played...
my first born shall be named vy
I positively thought we would beat the Aggies the last two year in FB.
Be prepared, say it with me.
--Horn Brain--
new game plan for longhorns from here on and out....hit it to the outfield!!
left fielder looks REALLY REALLY slow and plus the wind is blowing
my first born shall be named vy
Moldy singles through the left side to plate Belt.
Texas 9-1.
Inning ends when we hit the pitcher in the penis.
--Horn Brain--
You get charged with an out for that? :-)

Thanks...
This is a bit self-serving, but the updates on this thread are really helpful to both of us 40AS guys as we are pretty busy getting ready for a summer camp program and this is way better than the slow CSTV updates…
Keep it up!
So, that was a nice long half-inning there...
so we could talk to the Big 12 commish. Also, we scored more runs.
Hook ‘em.
That would be Green farting

That's what I missed
Pitching change. I was watching the Astros. Almost started a 2 out rally.
--Horn Brain--
Green in?
I know, second-guessing Augie never works, but why only four innings for Boening?
Life is an Occasion. Rise to it.
by patienthornsfan on May 25, 2008 3:04 PM CDT reply actions
Surprised me, too.
Boening had arm surgery not too long ago, maybe they don’t want to kill his arm.
--Horn Brain--
It's my brother that cares.
I personally despise most pro sports in the regular season.

... and we need Missouri Green.

Danks stole a home run, there.
Knocked it back in the park, couldn’t hang on. 9-5 Texas. We got ‘dat Wood!
--Horn Brain--
LOL
FSN advert says Indy 500 is the “greatest spectacle in motorsports”. IMHO, I watched that this morning live from Monaco. ;-)
Ok, here's what happened.
Dude got a three-run double.
Next dude hit a home run that Danks slapped back into the park and turned into a triple.
Next dude hit a blooper that Hernandez just didn’t hustle to get, let it go through his glove, scoring home-run dude.
Bleh. 9-6 Texas.
--Horn Brain--
Gotta be scraping the barrel in the KSU 'pen
... so we may just have to outscore these guys unless Wood can give us four quality innings.
Life is an Occasion. Rise to it.

Seat belts only help so much when your car is careening out of control
This is a blatant overreaction to one bad inning…I hope.
Hope so
I’d love to see us cruise in to the finish line easily.
But this tournament has been WILD. As soon as OU hit that double to beat Mizzou in the bottom of the 9th with 2 outs, things have been nuthouse.
--PB--
Moldy just misses his 2nd home run ever
Scores 2 on a double instead. Hit it to the left-center corner, deepest part of the park. If he’d hit it dead center we’d have a dinger.
--Horn Brain--
Hernandez RBI single.
Moldy scores from second because the KSU left fielder is… uh… not awesome?
--Horn Brain--
KSU LF Byron Wiley getting *No Love* @ BON
E7? Weebles no update no more.
As I continue my love-hate (but mostly the latter) with David Hernandez.
Texas needs out of the XII?
Our talent feeds this league. Should have joined the SEC or something, where there’s already an established talent base (Florida). What do we think?

We are the opposite of the Astros.
This is bizarre. Right after that KSU centerfielder misplayed that ball off the wall, Pence did nearly the same thing in right field. Torres singles to score Rupp.
--Horn Brain--
Wiley at bat!
He’s the nearly home-run dude! Funny, he looked really fast running that triple.
--Horn Brain--
What's really bizarro about today...
is that the Rangers won a pitching duel in extra innings. A pitching duel! Rangers!
If the Horns
played football on Sundays,
think what that would do to McNair’s and Jone’s back pockets?
Their bad LF flies out to our awesome CF.
As it should be. 1 out.
Next dude flies out to Kyle Russell in right.
--Horn Brain--
Where did this offensive outburst come from?
41 runs on 50 hits in 3 games. Let’s hope we can keep this going for a few more weeks.
We haven’t had this much offense against a “real” opponent since plating 22 runs on 22 hits against Tech back in March…..

Kyle Russell golfing again today.
Just hit the ball to left, buddy.
Damn. Strikes out looking.
--Horn Brain--
That'll do it.
Moldy nearly beats the throw to first, but that’ll do it for the top of the ninth.
If we can hold them to 8 runs we’ll win.
--Horn Brain--
Ruffin in to finish.
Usually takes him an inning to warm up, though. Hopefully he dominates.

Any chance we can get 200 comments on a volleyball thread this Fall PB?

CSTV had a couple of their games on last year
I wouldn’t be surprised if they cover the AVCA Showcase in Omaha to start off the year, and at least one of their matches against the Huskers. So we may get a chance to give it a shot.

Dude singles down the LFL.
Weird bounce off the wall made Moldy look like Wiley. Runners on the corners, 1 out.
--Horn Brain--
Moldy doesn't look Wiley on that one
Catch on the run, one runner scores, but now we’ve got two out with a runner at second!
On your feet, Horns!
--Horn Brain--
Great game, 'Horns!
That’s a thorough beating. Augie chatting with the announcers now. They say things like “You have to be happy with where you are right now” to a guy who just won the XII tournament. Augie starts talking about overcoming fear anyway. Let’s go win some playoff games!
--Horn Brain--
40AS will have fun with this write up.
Weird how close this game came to be no. 8 OU vs. no. 7 KSU.

We'll see if we can't do a 200 comment V-ball thread next season!
See you for the tourney liveblogs.
--Horn Brain--
Augie talked about
how many runs we scored with 2 outs (and 2 strikes). That is something to brag about. Now I’m off to bag the most humiliating Texags thread for PB.
don't forget to mention that
they’d lost so many games in a row, that they had to win there last one (1) to avoid being swept in two consecutive 3-game series and in 3 games at the Big XII tourney leading up to the NCAA regionals, and (ii) to take out Mizzou, thereby letting us advance to win the entire tourney.
"God is most glorified in us when we are most satisfied in Him." J.Piper
Thank you, thank you, thank you
Now that you guys are an automatic bid, it means that K-State won’t go as an automatic, and it gives us a better chance to make it in as an at-large.
