Worried?

Well needless to say, everyone seems worried about our chances this season. I've seen Mizzu and OU ahead of us and now Tech too. Am I missing something? Last time I checked we were Texas. We have reloaded and developed some young players from last year esp on Defense. I will go ahead and guarantee a spot in the Big 12 Championship. We will smash A&M as well who lost some good players. The schedule is fine. Personally, I think we will be Fiesta Bowling.

The eager beavers always head for the front of the line.

Flashing their credentials all over the place; trumpets and tubas and a little marching music for the swelled egos. Let ‘em prance and dance. Muschamp is working on a specific cure for that affliction. Expectation can be a very heavy burden.

I expect us to do at least as well as last year.

I think we’ll do better, but I don’t know if I expect it.

Bold Statement Cotton...

We’ll see if your prediction plays out for you. I’m not taking anything for granted with our offense the way it is set up to be. I think i’ll celebrate each time we score over 28 pts.

A tough schedule

All things considered, I expect this team to be better than last year’s (clearly, others feel differently), but everyone’s lowering their expectations based on the tough schedule. Could we still have a breakout season? If the team’s attitude has really changed for the better (killer instinct, not lackluster play—see Holiday Bowl vs. KSU and A&M last year), if the coaches can make the necessary strategic adjustments, if key starters take the next step forward, and if some young players can step up…yes, we could be very dangerous. But that’s too many ifs for most people.

(Not me.)
