Big Bird (And Others) Sign
Kenn Kasparek officially signed with the Seattle Mariners, ending any chance for a return to the 40 Acres. Kyle Walker and Casey Whitmer have also apparently signed, none of which should come as a surprise to Longhorn fans. It is only a matter of time before Kyle Russell and Jordan Danks are also signed.

Big Bird (And others) Sign
Not very surprising to see Whitmer sign, as he was one of the “roster cuts” Augie made to shake up the team. Although his stats were decent, it seems the coaching staff gave up on him, not even using him in the doubleheader against Alabama A&M.

Manzano won the 1500M national championship
Totally unrelated, but not long enough for a post and I don’t have a lilnk. But anyways, Manzano totally destroyed everyone in the race, second person was nowhere to be seen when he passed the finish line. Way to go out with a bang.

I give Kasparek three years
before he retires from the minor leagues.
Never have I seen someone so big with so little velocity in his pitching.

Seems reasonable
Let’s see, 40 roster spots in a season (max)
30 teams
1200 spots per season
average MLB career is 5.6 years
in 2006, 1502 players were selected,
total 6720 player*seasons for those who get there
4.47 complete drafts must pass before mlb must be replaced
so, yeah, he probably won’t get there. not a bold prediction, of course.
Check my math, I’m drunk.
