Decision Day For AJ Abrams
AJ Abrams must decide by today at 4 p.m. whether or not to withdraw his name from the NBA Draft and return to school. As of Sunday night, the would-be senior guard told the Statesman that he had not yet made a decision.
[UPDATE: He's coming back. Greek basketball fans mourn.]

I wouldn't worry
he’s coming back. I think he’s just enjoying the attention right now.

returning after the draft
I read somewhere that he can keep his name in the draft, and return to school if he is not drafted in the first round. Yes?
I think I remember when CJ Miles was drafted in the second round, he still had the option of coming to school.
On another note, what the F@#$ is this guy thinking?

he can be drafted and still come back to school
regardless of round. as long as he doesn’t sign with an agent, he can still come back to school.

what's the rule regarding...
Isn’t it true that the NBA (or teams) can pay the expenses to have a player try out at an invitational or at a private session? If that is the case, does the NCAA require that players reimburse the league (or team) if they do attend an invitational or private session, but then decide to go back to the NCAA?
I’m unsure, some clarification would be nice.

Dozier's Words
“I’m coming back with the mind-set that next year’s team can be even better than what we were a year ago, knowing a lot of that will fall on my shoulders,” he said.
Thats a good mindset I guess, but how do you lose CDR, Rose, Dorsey and another 14.1 minute contributor and be even better?
For those that are counting, thats 54% of their points, 50% of their rebounding, and 57% of their assists are gone next year.
I dont think Memphis will be bad, but they were freakishly good last year, as anyone in Houston for the Sweet 16 saw, sorry bud, but you arent going to be better than 2007.

What I fear ...
... is him demanding to play the point. He knows he has no chance of playing shooting gaurd in the NBA or probably even in Europe.

Too bad it's not his decision.
You think Barnes will let him play head coach?
