Best QB in the land?
There was a fun discussion about Tim Tebow in another fan post, so let's ask: Who do you think the best QB is, and why (or rather, who would you rather have)? Here are the candidates that most people seem to list (feel free to add your own):
1. Tim Tebow - Heisman winner, 32 pass TDs, 23 rush TDs, and apparently overrated.
2. Chase Daniels - 33 TDs, 4300 yards
3. Pat White - arguably the premier dual threat QB in college football, 1700 yards passing and 1300 yards rushing
4. Tod Reesing - 3500 yards, 33 TDs
5. Sam Bradford - actually, you're not allowed to choose him
6. Graham Harrell - 5700 yds, 48 tds
Of course, a newcomer could emerge.
My vote goes for Colt McCoy. Take that.

Todd Reesing - there should be two letter Ds.
Do you come from the same school of spelling as Longhorns84?

Wow, Pat White had VY's sophomore season last year. .nt whills
Speaking of hijacking threads, anyone have anything blatantly false to say about whills? I heard he’s one of those guys that gets all of his food from the dumpsters of supermarkets that throw away things on the sell by date. Disgrossting.

The only problem with Pat White is...
he’s tiny. You can take that any way you want.

Aiiiinnt. Text violation.
Whatever happened to all those clever projects you were going to produce in the dog days of summer? Remember that solicitation. Clever and enlightening statistical football detective stories to share with the wow and near-wowwed that would chill the hottest summer day and make the coming of football so much closer.
Huh, brain?
Now, instead, you seek dumpster diving innuendos to smear the patient and obviously too tolerant denizens that share your cyber presence in lieu of actual writing production. What kind of fucking story is this? {Thanks, Ben}

I'm working on it.
A lot of you asked for Greg Davis stuff, so PB and I are working on that now. The statistical databases of college football are not exactly friendly to compiling huge spreadsheets of play-by-play data. And by “not exactly friendly,” I mean “ridiculously tedious to even look at, much less organize meaningfully.” People that wanted AJ Abrams’ shot percentage broken down by whether he scratched his left or right nut after the previous defensive play are going to be heart broken by the end of the summer.

Actually
You have to refer to him as
The Almighty and All-Knowing Tim Tebow, Lord of Earth and Sky
Or by his rapper name, Timmy T-Bones

I don't know...
I believe with all my heart that any time you click on a link titled: “Best QB in the land?” you should see Vince Young featured prominently…
I guess if you’re talking about current college QBs though… Tebow is a really good place to start. In spite of being overrated (which actually contains some truth-like substances… even though it’s false), you have to like not only his abilities passing AND running, but also his leadership. Plus he seems like he’d be a good guy to root for, even if you’re not a FL fan. Unlike certain heralded ND recruits and former SC stars (not to even mention Jax St xfrs…) , he doesn’t seem to register very high at all on the old douchebag meter.

Yep. It was such an different name
from most people who post on BON (i.e. not UT or Austin related) So was wondering if it came from a book or something. Apparently, you are not hard to find.

But I googled my name too, and apparently there’s some dude from India with the same one that has commented on IMDB. Perhaps he’s seen it.

Don't think there's any Elusive
in that shadow. But the tag line “the shadow knows” is repeated about four hundred times, and sticks in ones head/scars one for life.

Number 1 QB in the land!!!!!!
I’m basing my pick on the QB that helps his team WIN. Cause that’s all that matters anyways.
So, Harrell, Daniel, Bradford… all gone.
All comes down to 1 guy…. IMO. This guy helped his team win even when they weren’t supposed to.
Juice Williams.

What about Ramonce? Even though he was playing against a middle school team I’d say he showcased what he can do when not dealing drugs…and if I remember correctly he got a personal foul for a superman into the endzone, classy…no, but did it look badass…o ya

yeah but
he got b*tched out on the sideline for doing it. He thought if Reggie Bush could do it, he could too. The only problem was nobody was chasing him.

This is a pretty pathetic list of QB's
for the top 6 in college football. I think its safe to say its a down year. Tebow is good, but for him to be #1…pretty pathetic.
I could almost bet anything Colt is going to have a better year than Todd Reesing

Troy Smith?
I think pretty much anyone who has any sense would at least put Tebow, Daniels, and White over Troy Smith, and probably over Brady Quinn as well. 35 yards passing in the national championship?

Tebow didn’t even start in 06’. I just forgot about Pat White, but he can’t throw the ball. Troy Smith still had a good year. He killed Texas.

Stafford / Tebow
Stafford is by far the best NFL prospect, but Tebow will have a better college career (stats).
