Ok...

So here’s the deal: We change his name to something super normal like Jamaal Taylor (heh), then we give the name to some slow kid who rocks at checkers. UTenn gets Lache “King Me” Seastrunk, Texas gets Jamaal “Motherf#$%in” Taylor. Everyone wins.

Despite the fact that we really aren’t competing with you for him, I somehow just convinced myself that this works. Nice Ricky write-up, btw.

Yeah, he's not on our radar (boo).

But seeing him at The Other UT will be almost as good.

(And thanks! Pretty happy with the way it turned out.)

I was just about to...

... go on a long internet stalk looking for news on this kid. Freak-lievable! There is no way we will ever see him in Burnt Orange. This guy is going to LSU to run the option with Russell Shepard… sigh. Mark it down.

Nah man

He is coming to every Texas home game this year, and Mack Brown has made it a point to get this kid. Mack Brown will get him. MARK IT DOWN

by texasfan05 on Jul 15, 2008 3:04 PM CDT to parent up reply reply actions actions   0 recs

He'll be a Horn

He said he’s going to attend every home game this year. Verbally, I think he’s not showing his hand, a la Garrett Gilbert. Gilbert didn’t give any verbal signs of where he was leaning either. But he was constantly at Texas games. Seastrunk is doing the same thing. His words may not reflect where he is leaning, but his actions will.

All of this is just my opinion. If I actually knew anything, I sure as hell wouldn't hang out on message boards.

His Scouts page says 34" vertical

Does that look like more than 34” to anyone else?

by BoddickerIsClutch on Jul 15, 2008 9:25 AM CDT reply reply actions actions   0 recs

Maybe 34'...

... I think he was just going up/coming down on his way to/from Freaksville.

BiC, that's a standing jump

not when you have a run; then you can get up to 50-60”. Check out his calves on the link to the series of shots by Sellers. He’s an over-the-basket guy.

by whills on Jul 16, 2008 12:50 AM CDT to parent up reply reply actions actions   0 recs

Uhh..

If that’s a 34” vertical, then the guy next to him is like 50” tall.

did he catch the ball?

a lot of athletes can jump high.

lest we not forget CB.

My adopted son Curtis Brown has the power of flight, but can't navigate his way onto the field.

I think Seastrunk's legs being extended...

... makes it look more impressive than CB’s jump…

... but that’s a really high jump, too.

This pictures belongs to another Photographer.

i do not think crocodile235 took this picture.

No, I didn't take the picture

Didn’t claim to have, either. Found it in an article on the statewide 7-7 tourney.

No you did not

No but you sure did leave out who did take it.

OK, I'll bite

Are you Robert Sellers (the photographer of this pic)?

Do you want croc to take it down? or cite the source?

Just say so.

good grief.

It’s just a fanshot. A place to stick stuff that other people might think is cool. Clearly that picture was taken by a sports photographer of some sort. Chill.

World's best picture, man, assuming you're you.

We get some weirdos on here like you wouldn’t believe, but I’ll believe you.

Got to give him a REC

1. For the picture
2. For not going postal and suing someone (Looking at you, Oklahoma Newspaper)

Got anymore pics of UT recruits or players doing superhuman things?

What kind of lens were you using? Is #4 at the same depth in the photo as Latche, or is he behind him, making the jump look higher?

by Wells on Jul 16, 2008 9:52 AM CDT to parent up reply reply actions actions   0 recs

cool

Yeah, sorry I bristled yesterday when robotboy confronted me. Awesome pic, and I’m happy to give credit where credit’s due.

by crocodile235 on Jul 16, 2008 11:54 AM CDT to parent up reply reply actions actions   0 recs

Thanks for the kind words

I am in fact me (at least I think I am).

I do in fact have a lot more pics of recruits and players. I will post some tonight. Anyone inparticular you are looking for?

I was using a 70-200mm F:4 lens. I was at the opposite end of the field from where the play was. # 4 is actually at the same depth. The QB threw up a jump ball in the end zone, and Lache really did get that high! He is pretty impressive.
