So the real question is
Did he watch any Texas games last season, or just write that narrative based on a roster, some box scores, and 40 ounces of malt liquor?

Well, that's a tried-and-true formula.
But sometimes you gotta tweak the malt liquor if you’re trying to triangulate the known because you don’t anymore than that.
I’ve read him and sometimes there are nuggets worth the investment:
Not your average kicker, he {Trevor Gerland} finished second to Jamaal Charles in the 2005 Texas High School Track and Field Championships in the 110-meter hurdles.
A speedy punter gives the Horns some fake punt capability.
Gives the offense another tool. I liked Colt’s pooch punts; I’d like to see him develop the quick kick.
DKR always had a well-armed kicking game (including quick kick) and he never hesitated to call on it. It can complement a good defense.
If Muschamp develops a really aggressive defense, pinning the opposition against the goal line could be a TD generator and a psychological deteriorater.

As long as he's using a system
There was some good stuff, if just because every time I remember that Henry Melton might play to his potential I feel better. But I guess it was this quote in particular struck me as a bad combination of poor logic and Wild Irish Rose.
Pure football players go to the NFL the second they’re able to because that’s all they think about and it’s all they want to do.
I guess in this guy’s world, Maurice Clarrett and Mike Williams are the purest football players the world has ever known, while Aaron Ross and Brian Robison are “interested in leading lives”.

Oh, yeah, Fuiy gets off track a lot.
Usually on grandiose generalizations like this that are simply full of shit.

thats the difference
between the championship year and every other lackluster year…MOTIVATION! Although Vince was a master performer on the field, his ability to motivate and hype up everybody else on the team was what put us over the top IMO…Mack Brown is not gonna be the guy to yell and scream at his guys and hype em up! Muschamp, Akina for sure. We’ve always got the talent, if that talent is motivated its a whole different team
