And he’s not alone:
Catcher Taylor Teagarden (right) became the fifth rookie among Rangers position players to make his major league debut this season. Four of the five rookies hit their first home run by their fifth at-bat:
The other one took until his 24th AB. True, the pitchers will catch up in a year or so, but the Rangers have some riches at the moment.
Teagarden also called a one-hit shutout and threw out a base runner. Great start.
