Which home game should I go to?
I have recently become friendly with a brother-in-law who always has good season tickets for football and basketball. He has extended the offer of a free seat at a football game this coming season. This is a big opportunity for me, so I ask the BON community for advice on which game to attend (perhaps two choices since the offer might be rescinded for a particularly important game).

On an entirely different note... are there any other Coastal Bend (south Texas Gulf coast) residents out there in the BON community? As we brace for Dolly, perhaps there could be some kind of hurricane "open thread" here. At the very least, I hope y'all stay safe and the rest of y'all pray we don't get slammed too hard.
Hook 'em.

Mizzou
Or A&M. I wouldn’t want to go to Arkansas, since our secondary may not have rounded into form yet and you won’t see our potential. Hopefully we’ll actually have a crowd at the A&M game this year since it’s at night and everyone will be awake. (turkeeyyyyyyyy…. sleeeeeeeeep…) N/m.

Missouri for sure..
This game could be a gameday game if the cards play out for both teams.

Missouri for sure...
I’m the guy, however, that wouldn’t be able to wait and would sign up for the first decent game, which would be arkansas… watch out though, it’ll be hotter than hell at that game. Mid September at 2:30 in the afternoon, ouch.

Wow, two sentences ending with a preposition? Scary.

As a guess
it might be either the Missouri game, Oct. 18, the Football Parents’ Weekend as well as the Texas Exes Distinguished Alumni Awards but it could also be the Baylor game, Nov. 8, with Letterwinners Roundup and the Longhorn Hall of Honor presentations.
Have seen nothing definitive. VY has travel games the Sunday following each of those dates.

Yep
FAU has to be it. I would be soooo pissed if they retired his numner at an “AWAY” GAME.

Probably FAU
Due to scheduling conflicts it has to be FAU, possibly Rice since the Titans are in Houston the next day, but I don’t know where players are required to be the day before NFL games.
Hah!!! Can you imagine if they retired his jersey at the Cotton Bowl during the RRS! That would be a mess! The red-half of the stadium booing and throwing cups, the orange-half cheering and crying, fights breaking out on the 50-yard line, cannons going off. I think that’d be hilarious.

If you notice, I also misspelled police. Since I was correcting myself, I thought it’d be fun to purposely f up my “grammer” some more. Sorry if that didn’t come across (see, another preposition at the end of a sentence!).

It is always....
...great to be there for a beating of Aggie. We’ll be a better team in November, than what you’ll see the week after RRS.
Chase Daniel has had the 18th of October circled on his calender ever since we slow played his recruitment. Refusing to offer him, followed by a last second panic move, only made it worse.

Thanks, so far
HC, I think atm might not be an option, but it sure would be great – so I may aim high (or low, aggieward so to speak). Missouri is the obvious consensus at this point, but despite the heat (rchorns) and immaturity (HB), I was originally leaning towards Arkansas – being a sentimentalist toward the good ol’ SWC days. Thanks for y’all’s input.
BTW it looks like Hurricane Dolly will not scourge Corpus too much thank goodness, but say a prayer for our Longhorn brethren in the Valley.

re: Arkansas
I have been looking foward to this game for a few years for the same old-SWC-rivalry reasons, and it only becomes more important now that it won’t happen again for 20+ years due to the aTm-Arkie contract in Jerryworld.
