Any Horns from El Paso are probably really excited for the Week 2 Texas game in the desert.  This is being hyped as the biggest game in UTEP history, which admittedly, isn't saying much.  Anyway,  I was looking for extra tickets on StubHub and eBay and saw that the prices are insanely high (asking prices right now are from $250 - $350).  All tickets on the Texas side were swallowed up by season ticket holders, so I tried to get some through UT-El Paso.

I was surprised to learn that I could buy season tickets at UTEP, including a Texas ticket for $99.  I got 5 packages through there, and am going to sell or donate the rest of the tickets.  I was happy to not pay Ebay prices and wanted to pass that on to anybody looking to make it out there.

The deadline is August 15, 2008, and you can get them at this site. 

I have also heard about a program where you can donate any unwanted tickets for other games  to kids at Ft. Bliss whose parents are currently deployed.  When I get specifics, I'll post it here.
