Injury.....

Unfortunately, we have suffered our first injury of the season. Josh Marshall fractured his scapula today.......... No telling how someone fractures that particular bone, perhaps Muschamp took the chains off the dogs... But seriously, I had high hopes for him.  I was thinking he would be a more than adequate replacement for Finley.

In his place Davis is trying  Greg Smith???  Davis said he wants to do alot with 2 tight end sets this year. Here's to a quick recovery for Josh.......(insert spilt beer here).

I thought Josh was going to be our next great

But maybe Ian Harris or Irby can jump to that spot now.

Marshall

figured as Irby’s replacement, as a TE who was more receiver than blocker. Smith would likely be the backup blocking TE to Ullman. Maybe Buckner, split wide of the tackle, or Webber, can become a pass-catching threat from the TE position? I too had high hopes for Marshall growing into Finley lite. Anybody for 4 WRs on passing downs?

That's a tough loss.

Damn, that’s an unusual injury for a padded area.

Someone had to rack him up.

Here’s a general description.

Hope it’s a simple fracture, and he recovers well.

replacements

I’m looking for a replacement for D. Thomas, not J. Finley.

I would not hold my breath

David Thomas was special.

Depth

Look for Ahmard Howard to move back over to tight end, leaving behind the bottom of the depth chart at defensive end. He would be a major upgrade over Greg Smith, having the ability to block and stretch the seam.
