I agree that that is the key to defending it, (or at least the starting point), but getting the entire defense to read the LOS correctly in just one second, especially at the HS level, has to give a coach the heebie-jeebies. Add in the fact that some covered players can run little dummy routes behind the line, or take off downfield as if on a route to block for screens and running plays, and the offense can take a serious advantage of this.

I’m not sold on using it exclusively, but throwing it out there for a few plays per series might be a nightmare for game management and pre-game preparations in practice. Definitely a useful weapon to have in your back pocket.
