Jeremy Hills
Jeremy Hills, as some of you already know, is the younger brother of Tony Hills. In one of my recent posts some on gave me the idea of posting: why i think he is so great.

Jeremy Hills is versatile. By this I mean he has/can play Runningback, Wide Receiver, and Cornerback. He was also invited to play in the 2008 U.S. Army All-American Bowl. Where NFL stars have played, such as Adrian Peterson. He was also named one of the state's Top 10 running backs by Dave Campbell's Texas Football. He also hade a career-high in a single game with 26 carries for 257 yards and 5 touch downs. I've also met him once before and he is a really nice guy. So he has come a long way, with his older brother Tony Hills, now playing for the Pittsburg Steelers, it's his turn to be in the spotlight here at Texas.

Good Pedigree
Didn’t realize he was Tony Hills brother. I’ve never seen him play, but he sounds like a DeSean Hales style back. (I’m a huge DeSean homer, since he’s from my town). Those guys tend to do well in the Texas system. If he’s anything like Peterson, I can’t wait to get him on the field.
I like our speed. We’ve got the tools. I’d rather be working with this than a bunch of experienced guys who can’t play.

Not like Peterson
While Hills was rated a 4-star prospect by Scout and runs a 4.5 in the 40, he just doesn’t have the talent or physical presence of Peterson. The comparison was more for the sake of throwing out a name of a player who had also been an Army All-American. It seems unlikely that HIlls will beat out Vondrell McGee or Fozzy Whittaker any time soon.

bad comparison
I hate ou as much as anyone, but AP is by far the best RB out of the big 12 in its existance. Imagine, VY and AP in the same back field!!! What could have been (it worked out well though).

I think Ricky Williams might disagree with that statement
Because I sure as hell do.
Ricky had more yards, more yards per carry, more yards per game, more touchdowns,
Hell, you could make an argument that Cedric was a better back.

Dont forget awards.
Adrian Peterson:
* First-team AP All-Freshman (2004)
* First-team AP All-American (2004)
* Doak Walker Award finalist (2004)
* Heisman Trophy finalist (2004)
* Second Leading Rusher just at OU
Ricky Williams:
- 2x Doak Walker Award (1997, 1998)
- Walter Camp Award (1998)
- Maxwell Award (1998)
- Heisman Trophy (1998)
- Second leading rusher of all time
Ricky wipes his ass with Adrian Peterson

Ricky Yes, Benson No
If you go back and look at the entirety of Benson’s career you see that he had some huge flashes his freshman year, then dropped off considerably right up until the point that he started sharing the backfield with VY.
Peterson, when healthy, was almost always exceptional.

Yes, but
It’s not just about being flashy. Cedric was incredibly durable. He set the school record for career carries and remained healthy throughout his career. Peterson, on the other hand, didn’t.
I’m not saying I wouldn’t take Peterson over Cedric, but there’s definitely an argument to be made for an elite back that can carry the ball 25+ times a game, every game

Cedric was good
I really like Cedric, and hope somebody gives him another chance. I don’t think he’s quite on the level of Ricky Williams or AP though.

To paraphrase DKR
“I don’t know if [Ricky’s] in a class by himself, but it sure don’t take long to call roll.”

Yeah..
I’ll say its a toss up between Ricky and AP. I think Ricky will have a good year in Miami this year. Parcells seems to really like him.

AP
I liked watching him flail around at the CB on his gimped ankle…. And I’ll always remember watching his last collegiate play- Awesome TD run, followed by a showboat dive into the endzone, resulting in a personal foul and season-ending clavicle fracture. Right after that the camera switched over to AP’s father, who was allowed out of the big house for one day in order to see the game. Good work, AP.

I knew Ricky Williams*, and Mr. Peterson, you’re no Ricky.
*not really

3 deep
Hills made the depth chart for FAU at RB. My man Hales did not.

Yeah, but the 3 deep under Mack
Includes like 6 RB’s.
