Lake Travis Players
I’m not taking these guys officially, but I live out in Steiner, so I’ll try to catch some Lake Travis home games. I’ll let you guys know about Gilber and his Left Tackle Paden Kelly. They are both committed already, but it should be fun to see what we’re getting.
I work in Pflugerville, so maybe I’ll work late a couple of Fridays and try to catch Okafor as well. Does anyone know if he is related to Emeka?
Excellent
I might try to catch the 9/12 Lake Travis game against Cedar Park. If I do, maybe we can coordinate a group get-together to watch.

Evangel Christian
LT plays them pretty early on in the season. They are a football powerhouse prep academy out of Louisiana, so that should show us something.
That's a hell of a match-up
and generally a nationally-ranked team.
Isn’t that where Major played?
i will take the san antonio kid
Calvin Howell, DT
i will try to run the stat sheet every week and try to catch games as much as i can.
Jordan Leslie
Tomball (TX) Tomball 2010
See the vid in fanshots.
I like our speed. We’ve got the tools. I’d rather be working with this than a bunch of experienced guys who can’t play.
Excellent
Thanks for posting that video. Ideally, that’s how this will work, if we get enough people participating. It’s too much information to follow closely without it becoming all-consuming.

Klein (TX) Klein
This means I will probably have to go the the Tomball-Klein game on Nov. 6. The sacrifices I make.

this sounds like a great idea
But I’m no high school football connoisseur, so I’ll not partake. I’m intrigued to hear some tidbits about these guys as the season progresses.
Emory Blake, WR, Austin High

Rivals #2 WR i n Texas/ #20 overall recruit in Texas

2008 Season Opener 33-23 Win vs. Harker Heights (8/29/08):
Caught 6 passes for 131 yds, 3 TDs (8yds, 44yds, 37yds)
No drops
Threw 1 pass for 27 yd TD
Ran 10 times for 49yds
Speaking of Gilbert and Kelly...
…anyone watching Westlake vs. Lake Travis? It’s on FSN right now, and Lake Travis came just shy of taking a 28-10 lead right before the half. As it is, it’s 24-10, and Gilbert’s looking fairly strong. I kind of feel like he should’ve been able to take it in for a touchdown before the half, but his passing has been pretty good, and other than a questionable non-grounding call, I think the kid has looked solid. I haven’t seen him play until now, and I’m encouraged that he’s going to be a ‘Horn. He’s definitely mobile enough, yet he’s a more accomplished passer than VY was coming out of HS.
Any Corpus Christi Potential Recruits?
I would love a reason to start going to high school games around here. I am no expert, but if someone could alert me to a potential Longhorn recruit in the Corpus area I would give it a shot to check him out for the Nation.
chris whaley
Ive been looking around but cant find much stats on him as for this year I know they won there first and lost this week end but did find some highlights on youtube of him looks like he will be hell of a great player for us
