PB, your countdown clock is an hour slow.
I tuned in to 98.1 for the pregame and they led with a rousing version of Wabash Cannonball and I could see txtwtr7 dancing, at least in my mind’s eye. Damn good start.
Yeah, just looked at it. 26 mins. to KO, it says 1 hr. 26.
You’re twisted up in Yankee time.
How odd
It’s correct for me, with 20 minutes to KO.
No idea; maybe some bug in the code. I’ll look into it… later.
Now: BOOM BOOM BOOM BOOM!!!!! HIT! HARD HAT HELMET KILL KINDLE RABIES DEATH!!!! WOOOOOOO!!!
--PB--
Sucks I can't watch this on TV
Looks like I’ll have to settle with Craig Way… unless there is some website streaming the game? Anyone?
by goingforthecorner on Aug 30, 2008 4:56 PM CDT reply actions
Not really. I'm going to listen, also.
Actually, I really like listening to games occasionally. You get a lot more relevant info and better player info.
First touchdown?
Pass or run?

Nope.
It’ll be a BOOM MOTHER FUCKER! hit on Rusty Smith, leading to a fumble and returned TD.

I must admit
I would love nothing more!
Adopt-a-recruit: Devon Kennard DE
Phoenix (AZ) Desert Vista 6'3" 257lbs
Strangely enough, I've been thinking that, too.
I was seeing one of those puny out passes and a double hit on the receiver, with the ball going into the air and one of the DBs hustling it in. A great Boom Motherfucker and a general Fuck you, welcome to Texas.
So
I just ordered the game. I freaking hate PPV. I’m unable to watch the pre-game activities because TW’s digital guide won’t let me switch to the game until it “starts”, because of the guide’s schedules.
Lame.
Radio says they're showing VY video stuff now.
{I’m hearing a lot of thunder right now so I may have to shut down at any time.}
Vince is holding aloft his jersey right
VY:
Hey Longhorns. First of all I want to thank God and to thank my coach Coach Brown for coming to get me in Houston and bringing me to Austin. I want to thank Coach Roy and the UT band.
I want to say y’all’s love…the way you carry yourself across the nation…I’m going to keep loving UT until I die.
(I may have missed a few words and phrases but this is the gist.)
It is done. #10 is now history.
You may be exactly right
I was typing and listening all at the same time and I’m partially deaf – I barely hear through the range of speech. Fans makes more sense. I was just trying to get it down.
Anymore?
ok
Maybe I just have a poor memory, but didn’t we have more folks posting last year? Fairweather fans?
People are probably watching other games
Michigan is making a big comeback, now Utah 25-23 with 4:34 left,
and many of the locals are at the game.
I think the fact that it is PPV
may be hurting. I’m paranoid right now that the DirecTV PPV isn’t going to work.
is texassports
gonna have the game afterwards? i’m in JAX and the local cable co. (comcast) isn’t offering it. this is agony.
Disciplina Praesidium Civitatis.
I'll
be beating the shit out of a customer service rep if it doesn’t.
I'm a fucking idiot
I just figured out that I could type in the PPV channel number and watch the pregame, without waiting on the guide to switch over to me.
Jesus, I feel stupid.
There's a time for beer, a time for cheer
and a time to be a real fan. 5:59. Always optimistic.
I love that Muschamp is wearing black. It's appropriate, considering this is a fucking funeral.

Who's the first Horn tonight
to get a celebration penalty that they are enforcing this year….my guess is Palmer
Sub B. Malcolm Williams.
Brandon Collins will miss the game due to an administrative error, 1 game suspension.
OT question
Firefox keeps insisting that I install a plugin for this site… but when I let it search for one, it just says “Unknown Plugin”. Uhh, anyone know what it is?
I get that message too.
I don’t know either. Probably some object on this site that Firefox doesn’t recognize.

Wonder how different the sound is.
I hear the roar; pretty good, more vibratto.
Gideon and Thomas at safeties.
I bet they move them all in and out.
Internet Feed
Anyone else relying on an internet radio stream? God bless Craig Way.
this is driving me fucking insane!
i have been on hold with them for 30 minutes.
Ricky for President.
Kindle. BOOM MOTHERFUCKER!!!!!!!!
Bad snap, Kindle with the recovery.
This will be the worst series of the game for the D.
With youngsters you never know.
Oh, bad snap, Kindle recovery. hot damn
Internet Radio

I don’t know if this has been posted. I had to use internet explorer.
Heavy dose of McGee to start
2 runs and about an 8 yard pass.
In the red zone.
Let’s see if we can finish this year!!!
They made the correct call.
Should be 1st and goal from 1/2 yard line.
Roy Miller
Dear FAU D Line,
It was nice while it lasted.
When facing a team that is physically overmatched
I absolutely love running the ball down their fucking throat. Nice drive.
In early pregame said he had a strained muscle.
Didn’t catch all, but he’s not hurt badly. He’ll be back; more precautionary and easy in this game to do.
So... is anyone here actually WATCHING the game?
What does the stadium look like, and how loud is it?

i'm too cheap to pay for PPV
Notice Tucker already played; if anybody spots any other true frosh playing, let us know. Thanks much.
Looks like they're gonna let 'em all play.
We’ll see the next time the offense comes out if Chiles gets an immediate role.
I'm far from an astute football mind,
but it looks to me like we are getting a good upfield rush. Smith is too good to hang on to the ball for very long. Multiple guys getting near him.
Texas forces a punt.
Punt goes out of the end zone. Texas ball on the 20.
McCoy to Chiles,
Chiles came in motion, and ran a kind of screen. 6 yards.
loose ball?
What does it look like, guys? Did he fumble, or was he down?
hows the defense looking?
I like long walks, especially when they are taken by people who annoy me.
~Fred Allen
McCoy's run
because of pass rush, or zone read deal?
WHat's the deal
sounds like the pass d is struggling?
????
that's surprising?
Disciplina Praesidium Civitatis.
can anyone
report on Rak on the next series? was looking so forward to seeing him, but alas…i can’t see anyone

Offense
I am here in Baghdad how does it look, is it clicking cause we are great, or cause its a lower team.
My boy sleeps with one eye open and a foot in your ass!!
Special teams
Earl Thomas just made the tackle at the 18 after the kickoff. Are there lots of other starters on kick/punt coverage?
Ryan Palmer

Beasley now in.
Opps, pass play for 62 yards. How’d that happen? Over LBs.
WOW
Love forcing the turnovers. We’re giving up a ton of yardage, but FAU not executing in the end zone.

Cause he has to do something to erase our concerns.
No putting him down, he just has to make some plays so we know.
Love the way the computer does these things
This from ESPN: “Rusty Smith pass intercepted by Ryan Palmer at the Texas 0, returned for no gain for a touchback.”

He was in on one CM series, then one of his own.
So that’s really 2 of 3, but one as QB.
END OF 1ST QUARTER 14-0 TEXAS
The offense (McCoy version) looks very crisp. On defense, you can see a great defense coming together… after a while. There will be bumps on the road.

FAU QB
6-for-16 for 150-some yds in 1Q, nearly half the yards on one play.
Florida Atlantic, 13 plays, 146 yards, 11.2 per yard.
62-yard play pumps that up. That’s just first quarter. Ouch.
And now a 30+ play. Double ouch.
Hey, we got a stop!

Bombilla's sausage recipe.
Sometimes its the final result – we stopped them – not the play in between.
With the description of all the poor tackling by Way & Co.
the D is going to hear a different version of Boom Motherfucker at halftime.
This should be a very interesting contrast, if it works well.

Colt was due to mature. That's great news.
Sounds like he’s running well, too. That really helps.
Charlie Tanner helped off field
Michael Huey replaces him.
McCoy rolled right
Waited for Shipley to come open on the back line. Threw it to the vacancy. Pretty.
Lets just let Chiles play WR in close games
Then let Chiles play QB in blowouts or in red zone plays where he should run.

3rd and Goal from the 9
The odds are against getting a touchdown in that scenario.
The problems were on 1st and 2nd down

Disagree. Part of the offense.

too bad about tanner
but his sub is bigger and stronger with a much higher ceiling
Not bad, but needs to get better
107 yards….need to stretch the field a little more. Are the other receivers open or is he taking the safer pass.

I don’t recall many touchbacks on KOs in recent seasons.
Is there anywhere on the net to get streaming audio of the game?

that's what you like to see
KO coverage keeps the return inside the 20. 1-2-3 and punt. Possession starting at midfield. NOT very many of those in ’07
I like the move, just get some points.
FG appears to be the action, unless we fake…

From CBS "GLOG"
Coach Schnellenberger looks to be eating his words from earlier in the week. The camera is currently showing him pacing the sideline, hands on his hips, with an angry scowl on his face.
This play is tought: 3rd and goal from 11.
