Earl Thomas to start?
From the sound of things... it looks probable.

Oh, very yes.
I’d rather be working with this than a bunch of experienced guys who can’t play.
It’s like they sent him from heaven.

I'd just copied the same quote
and then found you here with it. This is special.
The first part of it is great and makes me feel much better. They got four games to find the groove, and I think Muschamp will be unrelenting until they find it. He seems to know exactly what he wants. Reassuring.
“I think that we’ve got athleticism,” Muschamp said. “We’ve got guys who can run vertically and judge the ball downfield, which is key. I think we’ve got guys who can tackle in space. I like our speed. We’ve got the tools. I’d rather be working with this than a bunch of experienced guys who can’t play.”

Coach speak
A coach promotes what he has on campus. We have young, talented and inexperienced players in the D-backfield. This is exactly what I would expect from one of the country’s finest DCs.
As for Earl Thomas starting, I thought that was a foregone conclusion. My only question is whether he’s starting at safety, or the nickel. I had always assumed he’d start at safety. Yet, yesterday I noticed he’s on the roster at CB. Tells me he will be the nickel.
