Mizzu/Tx Game!

My best buddy just got tickets to the Mizzu game on Oct. 18th for his one year wedding anniversary. The seats are in section 29 Row 11, they look like some great tickets anyone sat around there before? His wife doesn't want to go, so guess who gets to go in her place?  ME!! I am so pumped and cannot wait!! Oct. 11th TX/OU weekend and then get to go to this game. . . AWESOME!!!

Suggestion...

... Let’s turn this into a “What to expect… Mizzou @ Texas” thread. I recently caught a replay of the Big 12 CG where Mizzou took a woopin’ from OU. The biggest thing I saw is that Chase doesn’t look too different from Colt. Not very fast, but running around trying to make plays with his feet and getting run down from behind by DEs and LBs. Chase looked really pissed that he got caught by a half a step on several occasions where he tried to extend the play with his feet. If anything, Colt looked like a more elusive runner, but we’re talking about shaved peach versus a fuzzy one here. I think we’ll see similar results with our front seven, hopefully denying Chase and Mr. Maclin time to exploit the secondary for big yards. Daniel looked a little pouty when the Tigers got behind, and I would probably hate to play on his team. I hope we see more of that Chase as he realizes that probably 5 or 6 of our front 7 can run with him, if not run him down.

Defensively, Mizzou got steamrolled by the Sooners, and I wasn’t impressed with their talent level. If anyone but Greg Davis was our OC, I’d say we should be able to run on them, but we all remember the first three quarters of the Nebraska game, as well as the entire 2006 season. Hopefully GD has one of his “good days” and we’re able to just outclass Mizzou offensively. Ask me right now and I’ll give you Texas 35-24 with a shrug. Much remains to be seen.

Chase Daniel=Troy Smith

Short, scrambler, fiesty. I don’t think Daniel or Mizzou for that fact matches up well at all against elite competition (maybe including Texas). Missouri has the tools to beat 90% of BCS teams, just not the highest tier. The offense is good but not unstoppable. Their defense was only adequate. And Maclin is fast but just a poor mans percy harvin.

I'm expecting

to hear 37 different people talk about Chase Daniels that weekend. I think he’s an action movie star, or possibly an adult film actress with a gender ambiguous first name.

Daniel seems to confuse a lot of people

section 29, row 11

Sounds like you’ll be just south of midfield; very nice. But at just row 11, you’ll have a difficult time seeing across the field to action by our bench. I prefer being around row 30-40 for a good sweeping view of the field; just my preference, I know you don’t have the option. All in all you will be happy with it. It’s right in the middle of all the action. The Mizzou bench will be right in front of you, so feel free to give them some good old fashioned trash talk.

And do yourself, and all of us, a favor: stand up and be loud. That’s in the middle of alumni seating, where many people are content to sit and be quiet. You’ll have to help make up for their passivity.

To give you something to compare:

I’m in Section 29 Row 41 Seats 32-36 that puts me at about the 35 yard-line give or take.

The lower area seems to stand more then from row 20ish to about 40 or so they seem to sit more.

I fly in from LA so I tend to get my money’s worth.
