1 game suspension for LH
Orangebloods.com has revealed that Mack will be suspending Lamar Houston for the UTEP game only. I'm happy with the suspension. I'm a fan of letting the judicial system punishing people, not a head coach of a football team.

I know some people are going to be critcal for it only being 1 game, but a 1 game suspension is what most schools across the country have been giving for similar offenses. Hopefully this will be the last incident. I don't understand why they drive if under the influence. I'm sure somebody in Austin would be happy to give a UT football player a ride home after drinking!

"So far"
Could be more coming, once the legal process completes.
“We decided that he will not be making the trip to El Paso and play in this week’s game,” Brown said in a prepared statement. “He asked to apologize to the team and did so at our team meeting earlier today. The issue will be handled within the team and any further action will be addressed at the appropriate time.”
Life is an Occasion. Rise to it.

I just moved back to Austin
If anyone wants to join my new company, “Burnt Orange Designated Drivers,” we can help avoid player DWIs by escorting partying players home. The way I see it, its a win-win; huge Texas fans get to meet their favorite players, and players avoid suspensions by not being forced to drive away from a party.
Horizontalism is its own reward.

NCAA would call that...
…. free transportation. Then we get NCAA sanctions instead of DWI’s. NCAA sucks.

Have a nominal charge, say $5 or $10.
…huge Texas fans get to meet their favorite players
What does this mean, lil benji, you takin’ ’em to a fat fan party?
And I’ll relate to someone I know who tried such a thing locally out of the goodness of his heart; messing with crazy, drunk mofos is not the most fun you’ll ever have on a Saturday night.

only 1
I think. Why would he not just say 3 games if it was going to be 3 games?

It sounds like hes not making the trip
While the details are worked out. Im sure if hes found guilty or whatever it will be three.
The others if I remember correctly, didnt happen during the season.

Kick him off the team
It’s an embarrassment and we just don’t need this shit.

Overreaction?
Don’t destroy a kids life cause he made one mistake. He deserves another chance.
I like long walks, especially when they are taken by people who annoy me.

Huh?
Wouldnt it be more apt to ask, what if you got a DUI, would you like to be fired?
I hardly see how a DUI and losing a paper are equivalent.

i think..
..he means that BFAUT86 is overreacting and the logic of MJY6087 is comparable to “logic” of BFAUT86.

are you serious?
The kid has never been in trouble at UT, why would they kick him off the team for making 1 mistake? That’s STUPID!

Read Between The Lines
What Mack is saying is- “We’re suspending him for one game, and we’re also going abuse him in practice so terribly that the thought of booze will make him feel ill for most of his remaining life.”
