Another Great Night for Garrett Gilbert
Lake Travis beat Cedar Park tonight 35-21. Gilbert completed 26/39 (66.7%) for 341 yards passing, and ran for 32 yards on 4 carries (8 ypc). Just one INT.
For reference, last week he threw 14/30 (46.7%) for 215 yards. The week before that he went 17/23 (73.9%) for 328.
Looks like the arm is fine.

Two TDs.
That’s 57-92, 62%, for 884 yards, 295 per game against what I would consider pretty good competition in all three games.
not to mention his receivers
He’s playing with the cards he’s dealt. I know the LT receivers are good athletes who are giving their best, but it’s pretty clear that GG’s measureable performance is hindered a bit by the abilities of the guys catching his passes. Imagine him in two years tossing to the likes of (by that time) weathered veterans M Williams, Collins, Kirk and Buckner.
He’s doing well. Texas fans have a lot to look forward to in Garrett Gilbert.

I like to put ".nt whills"... (.t whills, actually)
… on things that I want answered for sure. It’s like the Bat Signal.
What is "nt whills"?
What does that mean?
