I'd like to say something about Colt do everything.....

For the people that say “He wont be able to do that against OU and Mizzou and we need more proven playmakers”, did you say that in 05. Did you say “When it’s 4th and 5 with the NC on the line, we need someone else to step up and make the play besides Vince”, no i;m sure you didnt say that. Colt is our go to guy no matter what.

by Texas_Fight on Sep 27, 2008 4:15 PM CDT reply actions   0 recs

you make a great point

I’d say the difference is that when VY was a frosh, he was a stud runner already. Colt has MADE HIMSELF into one, but we sometimes still think of him as freshman Colt, not 21-year-old junior Colt.

tired of that commercial...

that Dr. pepper commercial is so friggin annoyin…

by mccoy12 on Sep 27, 2008 4:25 PM CDT reply actions   0 recs

i think a lot of the concern...

is that he IS our go to guy and theres not much proven behind him. i love the scrambling and the big plays with his feet, but sometimes it doesnt seem necessary. the last two five yard runs for example. up 24 to 3, take more of a rest back their and scan the options. colt has done more than earn my respect, but he hasnt exactly proven himself immune to injury.

actually,

i think mack wants his No. 1 unit to get more reps, more live practice. I don’t think mack cares about stats. He also know Hoggies aren’t on the schedule for like 8 years at least, so there’s no chance of payback.

They're really established him as a mid and downfield threat.

Some of these shorter throws really ups his threat level. Nice.

The only off note is that Colt hasn’t hit other receivers (except Kirkendoll) or TEs at all today.

Surprising to Me

I figured Colt would be the best QB on the team by far – but I never thought he would be the best running QB as well. I would give up on this Q Package and tell Mr. Chiles he doesn’t have much of a future at QB.

What year is Sherrod?

I don’t see Chiles staying at QB this summer. If he moves over to WR or DB, and if Sherrod graduates, then I think Gilbert has to be #2.
