Thins you hate about OU FANS!!!

This is my first Fan Posts. I understand that you have to have a certain amount of words to post.

I'm watching the OU TCU game and I can't stand that even when they are not playing us they do the upside down horns. What the heck is that crap. I can understand if they are playing us, but come on. The woman who did it and her husband were in there forties. Really you do and upside down horns sign when you team does something good. Do they not have a hand sign? And, are they jealous that we have one?

The upside-down horns

is OU’s hand sign. It’s also usually Tech’s, A&M’s, OSU’s, and Baylor’s. Next week it’ll be Colorado’s. Such is the natural order of things.

I had the misfortune of driving into Oklahoma one time

They put upside down Longhorn stickers on their car. Basically, beating Texas at football is the only meaningful thing they have in their lives.

Show me the money, baby.

The beauty of this … they are actually pouring bucks into the UT coffers via licensing fees. I’ve seen upside-down UT stickers, UT flags, even UT shirts that have been mangled.

I’ve actually come to enjoy this phenomenon. It elevates The University. After all, why would anyone even give UT a thought during a Tech game or a Baylor game or an OU game … especially when those teams are playing another opponent? When an OU fan or player gives that upside-down Horns sign, it’s like free advertising, baby.

In other words, wow, Texas must be great if so many opposing teams are this obsessed wih them.

And if that doesn’t help, just think of those bucks rolling in. Thanks for the nice new plasma screen in the locker room, Sooners!

Watch out, I bite.

good thought

I’d never thought of it that way before. So true.

A&M- same mentality. They play another team, win, and some of their players give the upside down horns. I’m just amazed.

Saw that

and it always goes under my nerve. I put a bet on OU, but am rooting hard for TCU. Not that my rooting would change anything!

I don't mean to be a debbie downer...but...

can anyone slow down bradford? I guess no sophomore slump for this guy…
through 2 and half quarters 16/28 374 3TDs against TCU. This guy is putting up some monsterous numbers, and he is doing it w/o any running game

I hate OU as much as anyone (if not more)

When TCU was able to

put pressure on him he looked human. Coach BOOM need to have a solid game plan in two weeks.

Coach BOOM

Will have a game plan ready. Bradford will be on his back and I am positive Kindle/Orakpo will make it hurt when they get to him.

slow, white QB

I’m white so I hope that doesn’t sound racist…

But Braford is not so good out-of-the-pocket, at least on foot. Force him out of his nice cushy offensive line protection and we have a huge chance. Not that getting through the offensive line is easy.

Hopefully

our d-line can dominate the great OU line like they did the terrible Arkansas line.

I like long walks, especially when they are taken by people who annoy me.

People have been saying that Texas is the 4th best team in the Big 12

but colt has the best stats when you look at the first 4 games between all the Big 12 QBs.And he’s the only QB to be leading his team in rushing. OU is going to be facing a wake up call

I love it.

It used to irritate me, but now I just feel sorry for them. It is penis envy at its finest. Envy, by Webster: “painful or resentful awareness of an advantage enjoyed by another joined with a desire to possess the same advantage”. Every time they do the upside down Horns sign they are doing two things, admitting Texas is better and saying they want to be like us.

true

OU has a great program (some brought about by cheating, but give credit where credit is due) and unfortunately they have us beat in number of NCs, etc. What they envy is the national recognition of our program. That will be very hard for them to achieve considering their past history…. thank you, Barry Switzer. Our university is far superior to theirs in research grants, nat. rankings, etc… well, just about in every area. They know it. And on top of that, we have an outstanding football program, the only place they are known to excel nationally. The state as a whole has an inferiority complex. (Grapes of Wrath) Much like Arkansas.

It is sad. Each state has some very good things about it, but they can’t seem to get past the southern neighbor. I never thought much about it until I had to travel to and stay in each state for business. It was quite an education in Texas-loathing.

With Apologies To Randy Edsall, The Big East Remains Mostly Harmless

FILE -- This is an Oct. 18, 2008 file photo showing Connecticut corner back Jasper Howard (6) trying to get the crowd into the game during the fourth quarter of an NCAA college football game against Rutgers, in Piscataway, N.J.
