Probably not worth a diary but...

Just did the math. Colt has now thrown 14 tds vs. 20 incompletions. Ridiculous. Lets hope OU's young secondary acts young in a couple weeks. Not as scared of Missouri in Austin (but probably should be).

Also, i wonder what's keeping the offensive staff from just running cody johnson exclusively. McGee may have better straight up speed, but he doesnt have the moves for that to matter too much (or at least hasn't shown us any reason to believe otherwise). Perhaps they are just saving some stuff for OU (we always say that, can anyone give one good example of that actually happening?).

Johnson isn't the home run threat, but with fozzy out i don't know that we even have that right now. Which doesn't concern me too too much with as well as colt and the receiving group is playing (kirkendoll's long catch today was very encouraging), and cody has shown that he can pick up yards when we need them. How good does that feel? Don't have to bring in a D lineman to move the chains on short yardage situations.

I think having that back that can get yards when you need them is significantly more valuable and essential to an offense than a guy who is always a threat to have a big run but may only do so once or twice a game (or not at all). I'm happy that we may have a solid short yardage running game.

With Apologies To Randy Edsall, The Big East Remains Mostly Harmless

FILE -- This is an Oct. 18, 2008 file photo showing Connecticut corner back Jasper Howard (6) trying to get the crowd into the game during the fourth quarter of an NCAA college football game against Rutgers, in Piscataway, N.J. Jasper Howard had his little sisters' names tatooed on his chest. His friends say it was a constant reminder of why he was at U Conn _ to provide his family with a better life than the one he had in Miami's Little Haiti. (AP Photo/Mel Evans, File) link
