PrintI saw Chris Whaley in the stadium co-op at halftime. He was actually signing a few autographs for some old men, so i decided not to bother him (aside from staring at him for 10 minutes). To say he is huge is an understatement. As i was walking out i slowed down and told him to give em hell next year, to which he soflty replied "yes sir". Now that the two of us have become BFF, i've decided that he'll be our savior at RB next year.

Big enought to play fullback?
Shame he’s not available this year. We lost Tiemann for the season on Saturday. I don’t remember seeing him go down. Anyone else know when it happened?

He is a true freshman from Odessa Permian and he is good… He could step into the FB role!
Why are we worried about FB?
That position is almost nonexistent in this offense. We should be more concerned with finding a back who can create yards on his own from the shotgun running game we employ.

I was talkin bout colt. He has been a monster running AND throwing this year. but you could throw fozzy in there i suppose. to me fozzy hasn’t proven himself yet.

I heard Whaley got hurt saturday
he had 93 yards on 4 carries, and a td before he left for the rest of the game with a ankle injury.
My concern is that Whaley is actually to big for rb
And may be better suited for a defensive position???

He is 6’3 230. Smaller than henry melton but bigger than cody johnson. I think that if you want someone who can really push the pile, he’s your man. On the other hand, DE?

A week after mocking a reporter’s suggestion that Texas might mask its tight end concerns by running more I-formation, Mack Brown said Monday that he’d wanted to run more, ahem, I-formation in Saturday’s game but didn’t around to it.
With fullback Luke Tiemann suffering a season-ending knee injury on a non-contact play on a kickoff, Brown mentioned that he’ll look at mixing Chris Ogbonnaya and Antwan Cobb in at fullback. Of course, Texas uses a fullback about once every full moon.
Cobb’s knee is getting well enough for him to play, Brown said. "It’s time for him to step up his game. He knows that after yesterday."
