McCoy #1 in Heisman Race? You Decide..
So, this FOX Sports article has a photo gallery of Heisman candidates, and for whatever reason, has a nice big number next to each picture, in order of 1 to 10. McCoy is #1. Does this mean he's the leading Heisman candidate right now? I'll let you decide.
Full "rankings":
10. Chase Clement (Rice)
9. Charles Scott (LSU)
8. Jeremy Maclin (Mizzou)
7. David Johnson (Tulsa)
6. Graham Harrel (Texas Tech)
5. Max Hall (BYU)
4. Javon Ringer (Mich. State)
3. Chase Daniel (Mizzou)
2. Sam Bradford (OU)
1. Colt McCoy (Texas)

Colt's off to a great start, but
right now he is barely in the Top 5. He needs to play against tougher competition before his campaign picks up steam. I know CNNSI has him ranked #5 right now.
Stat of the Year (in my opinion):
Colt, through four games: 14 Touchdowns to 20 incompletions.
Unbelievable.

I didn't know that stat
That is disgusting…

How about...
18 TOTAL touchdowns to only 20 incompletions? Colt does have 4 rushing TDs as well.

Talk to me in 3 weeks
If UT is still undefeated three weeks from now, the Horns will be #1 in the polls, Colt will be #1 in the Heisman race, and it will be all anyone is talking about in college ball. The Stiffy Trophy this year, as in most years, is going to be tied pretty much to the fate of the team.

Hell, let's talk in 4 weeks, man...
10/11: (1) Oklahoma
10/18: (4) Missouri
10/25: (21) Oklahoma St.
11/01: (7) Texas Tech

The Dash
Pat Forde has Colt McCoy #3. The Dash is obviously more for entertainment purposes than for actual CFB analysis, but it’s still nice to see the Colt get some recognition.
End-of-September Heisman ballot: Pick a Big 12 quarterback. 1. Chase Daniel (25), Missouri. Averaging 353 passing yards and three touchdowns per game for the nation’s No. 2 offense. 2. Sam Bradford (26), Oklahoma. Third nationally in efficiency after a career-high 411 yards against TCU. His string of 300-yard passing games is now three. 3. Colt McCoy (27), Texas. He has out-Tebowed Tim Tebow this year, throwing 14 touchdown passes and running for four more TDs (Tebow has just eight total TDs, as compared to 17 at this point last year). McCoy’s stats are also very comparable to Vince Young’s through four games of his junior year, and McCoy is leading the nation in accuracy with an 80 percent completion rate. (McCoy and Bradford square off Oct. 11, then Daniel and McCoy hook up a week later.)

Does Heather Locklear like prescription drugs?
YES!!!! As I have stated on a few of the other posts, his body of work as it stands right now should put him toward the top if not at the top of the Heisman list. However, just like the college football polls, his ranking will be affected on how he does on a week-by-week basis. Personally, I think the Big 12 has enough mediocre teams towards the bottom to keep Bradford, Daniels, and McCoy in the mix for the entire season no matter how they do against each other. And McCoy & Bradford still have next year to both be in the mix!
I’ll be at the UT/CU game this weekend for purely personal Heisman research purposes only! :)

CFN has the same rankings
I’m not quite sure who took from who, but CFN has the exact same list:

I think..
Fox has CFN on their college football analysis, and all Fox did was put pictures to it. They done it before I believe.

I guess people are missing my point
Do you think list meant to actually rank them in terms of Heisman candidacy? Because if you go to the CFN link (), then you see that as recently as two weeks ago, McCoy wasn’t even on the list…
